I purchased a maserati from Rockstar rides and 2 days later i took the vehicle to my mechanic. Per the carfax report rockstar owned the vehicle at the last brake service in 2022 per carfax report states the mechanic put new pads on and resurfaced the rotors which is not recommended for this vehicle. Recommended service is replace all rotors and brake pads. at the inspection of my mechanic within 500 miles of purchasing the vehicle my mechanic stated that the brakes were dangerously low at 2 and 4% pad left. Because rockstar failed to follow recommended procedure for servicing brakes i let my own mechanic do the work. I then saved that service order and returned to rockstar 2 months later due to family situation that could not let me return sooner. At that time I presented the work reciept that had been performed and they stated that their mechanics had serviced the vehicle prior to me buying and i said that is false i have the carfax and its been 10 months since it was serviced and not recommeded brake service. They still deny their involvement in not giving the accurate information and after getting them the invoices asked for they still will not reimburse me what they should per safety laws . I have all documentation and carfax report I want to add that when i purchased this vehicle it also had run flats on the front which are not speed rated for this vehicle and generic cheap tires on the rear not speed rated for this vehicle costing me ******* at discount miles in at ***** miles purchased vehicle ***** ******* is for rotors and brakes Total ?? *******

Well, Let me start by kicking myself in the rear end for not doing more , but man was I ripped off my wife and I went in so she can check out and A certain ride she wanted ended up being purchased by somebody else, but decided to check out one of the other cars that was sitting on the lot just while we were there. Being a mechanic, I shouldve known something was off when the battery was dead and they had to jump it just to take it for a test drive But I wanted to my wife so I bought her a 2015 Maserati Q4 Quattroporte, In cash for $34,000 And some change not even ******************************************************************** Another $5000 as well as putting the tires on the tires that were on them were not speed rated for this type of vehicle $1800 my point I was sold the car at a racquet price trying to resell the car or trade it in. I was told that The value from ****** blue book was $14,000 for that year making and model and its only got ****** miles on it. Brought these things to the dealership and was told that they had the car serviced with new brakes and rotors before they sold it to me, but having the physical evidence sitting in my garage( Physical evidence being the brake pads and rusted out rotors), im mindset that they didnt have the car service and were just trying to make some money Especially since one of the Headlights ended up going out and as soon as the car went through a drive cycle after the check engine light was reset because the battery died which I believe was intentional to replace headlights on a Maserati you have to remove the whole front end of the vehicle which was another $800 expense is a very, very big learning experience for me on why I dont trust dealerships in the first place horrible experience Sad Face

    Business Response

Good afternoon. We understand your concern. However, We had the car inspected at a third party shop where based on their inspection the brakes were at 80% plus life and have an inspection sheet as proof that it was done. You came to us 2 months after the purchase claiming your vehicle's brakes were not in good condition at the time of purchase  and you claim you had issues with them the moment you started driving the car and had to buy brakes and got the car inspected as proof. As we all know brakes are a wear and tearable item but we said no problem we will do everything we can to help. We first asked if it was an issue right after the car was purchased, why wasn't it brought up to our attention immediately, in this case something serious and why 2 months later if you were driving the vehicle everyday, but had to pay for new brakes and inspection right after you got the vehicle. You responded to us were busy and had a lot going on.  We responded okay, we will do everything we can to help. Then we asked to please provide the inspection of the vehicle you had gotten right after you purchased the car that said the brakes were bad and had to be replaced. You gave us an invoice of brakes being replaced dated 2 months later after the purchase, not the first week or month of having the car, and we never received any inspection that said the brakes were unserviceable or required.  We asked to provide that inspection again as proof because the claim and the dated paperwork wasn't matching accurately. Please provide us the proof that you claimed you had for your situation and we would love to move forward in helping resolve the matter.

OK for one you did not have the car serviced by a third-party person if that's the case why didn't you show me any proof when I asked you for some Secondly, I did not come to you two months later with the issue I came to you the week after I had to pay for a $5000 brake job, You guys knew what you were doing that's why you had to jump the car, because you knew the moment it went through a drive cycle issues with pop up it wouldn't be going through the drive cycle right away. You have to drive 100 miles to go through drive cycle. I run a mechanic shop. You can't fool me dude you lucky I'm not suing you for all the money I paid for the **** car, which intern actually I might just do that since you refuse to even accept any responsibility, in your jeopardizing the safety of my wife
