Vital Total Health Medical Group manages both the scheduling and billing for my healthcare provider, ******* ******, MD. For telehealth appointments, I typically receive a link to the appointment about an hour beforehand. However, prior to each appointment, a representative from the medical group calls me and demands payment, claiming that the amount is my copay. I have confirmed with my insurance company that the amount they are demanding is incorrect. On two separate occasions, this representative, usually someone with a heavy Indian accent, has demanded payment for an incorrect amount. Today, when I refused to pay, she cancelled my appointment, denying me access to medical care. This was the first time my appointment was cancelled, but the second time this person has tried to collect an inaccurate payment over the phone.Additionally, on one occasion, the same representative called and asked if I wanted to pay for massage services, which seemed completely unrelated to my medical needs.I believe these actions are part of a fraudulent or unethical practice aimed at extracting incorrect payments from patients. Canceling appointments over a refusal to pay an inflated or erroneous copay is unacceptable, and the inappropriate offers of unrelated services are concerning.I would appreciate your assistance in investigating this matter and ensuring that Vital Total Health Medical Group is held accountable for their actions. I am requesting that this company cease these practices and allow patients access to care without being subjected to improper billing demands.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Sincerely,******* *********
