I brought a gauge cluster circuit board out of a vehicle I own to be repaired by Caliphonia on Monday the 6Th of May 2024, and was told that the repair may be between two hundred to three hundred dollars to repair. I instructed the owner that a pixel was out on the back of the mileage reader and that is why I was bringing it in to be repaired. I had previously read numerous tutorials and several ******* videos of how to repair the circuit board and as to why it happens and what needs to be rectified to fix the problem, and relayed this information to the owner. It needs, and still needs several joints on the back of the *** screen to be micro-soldered, to fix the issue. I was not contacted as to exactly how much the repair was going to be and instead was told at the counter that it would in fact be the full quoted price of three hundred dollars, after telling him that I was not informed prior he refunded one hundred dollars. I then told the store proprietor that I still needed to test the item by installing it in my car to see if it is fully functional and if the pixel problem still existed or not. I then texted a photograph of the pixel and *** screen that it was still unfunctional and broken. The proprietor of the store argued that they fixed it, and that I would bot get a refund, nor would they warranty their work or fix the dead pixel. I then drove to the store to return the item to be fixed under their warranty for work done at which time the owner again argued that they would not fix it and would not refund my money, but then gave me an one hundred dollars hoping I would go away. At that point I called the police, and stating my case they said it wa sa civil issue and best to just notify the BBB. At this point I just want my money back which is now one hundred dollars for what they deemed fixing the circuit board which still does not function properly and the reason for me bringing it to their establishment to begin with.
