    Beware of IRA ******************* (IRAR) sudden custodian resignations, which can lead to significant tax consequences. I faced a 30-day notice, received via regular mail (not registered, without proof of delivery), to find a new custodian or have the assets released directly to me. While the notice also presented a hard end date that was less than 30 days when received, IRAR eventually accommodated my transfer request and successfully moved my assets to a new custodian Their reasoning for resignations lacks transparency: claimed certain assets not feasible to custody, though feasible for many other custodians (at least 7) and having reviewed the purchase request as part of IRAR's process. Furthermore, their customer service is lacking, with no payment confirmations, recurring payment errors, and difficulty obtaining written responses. Choosing a custodian should be straightforward, but IRAR's lack of care for customer satisfaction is concerning. Ensure you understand a custodian's capabilities and terms. Despite IRAR's shortcomings, they could improve by communicating intentions and conducting thorough research on asset management companies.
