We signed up for the free demo of Bookee (now named Kenko) on October 24th with ******. We looked at the ***** website and noted the cancellation policy under Terms and Conditions (this page now does not exist) and it states you must give 30 days to cancel. We went ahead and signed the contract, and started the onboarding with *******. We recieved one call per week, that was about 45 minutes and very rushed. It raised a bit of a red flag with us. After the second onboarding call, we decided this platform wasnt for us, and the features would be too difficult for our clientele to understand, navigate, so I put in the email requesting the cancellation. I soon got a call from ******* asking what went wrong and I informed her we have decided to not switch platforms. This led to another call with Lakshan, ********** - Customer Success Lead, and ****** - Senior Account Executive. From there they gave me the hard sales pitch, offered the service at zero cost (just the 2% porcessing fees), and I reiterated we just wanted to give 30 days and cancel. From here, ****** stated he didnt know about a ********************************************************************************************* which they sent. On the next email with Vineet, Prathiksha, and Lakshan, ****** stated the 30 day cancellation policy is outdated and that page needed to be to be taken down, and he asked Prathiksa to do so. He stated the terms and conditions do not supersede the contract we signed. Feeling like I couldn't get a good clear answer without the sales pitch, I reached out to others in the company, but I was redirected to ******.****** asked for another call on December 19th, where I asked again to be let out of the contract. He again pitched the service for a year at no cost, (just the 2% processing fee). He told me the card on file would be charged $3,300.00 for the cancellation. ***** used deceptive business practices with false verbiage on the terms and conditions.
