    I was seen in the emergency room at **************** Hospital in *********, ** on 1/19/2024. While there, in addition to having an ultrasound, I was seen briefly by a TEAMHealth contracted physician ***************************** DO. I was never informed that he was not a Mission Hospital physician. I received a bill from TEAMHealth in March for $1,213.00 for the services of said doctor with no indication that they had filed a claim with my insurance. Since then, I have given my correct insurance information to four different representatives for TEAMHealth, including sending copies of my BCBS card and driver's license by email, and have received bills for the full amount each time, most recently on 7/17/2024. All claims filed for this visit by Mission Hospital have been paid in full by my insurance. AT NO POINT has my insurance shown that they have refused a valid claim from TEAMHealth. I'm hopeful that you can help me resolve this, because this company seems incapable or unwilling to file a proper claim with my insurance, and I don't know what to do at this point. I'm worried that they are running down the clock until the point that my insurance will deny the claim due to untimely filing.

    I had an ER visit in July of 2022 for a suspected heart attack. A year later, I received a bill from TeamHealth/Emergency ********** Services of NY PC for $1400 for part of the service due to a miss-bill. I paid this out of pocket, before realizing that it was actually covered by my insurance, had it been billed correctly.I have spent ten months, eight phone calls (two which included my insurance carrier's billing department), and close to twenty hours trying to get TH to rebill my insurance provider so they can issue a refund. They have said they'd issued the new claim six times since September of 2023, and yet my insurance provider has yet to receive it.

    I am drafting the complaint on behave of my wife and patient ************************** as English is her second language. On feb. 28, 2023 , Juminarti was rushed by ambulance to SSM Group emergency facility in ************, ********. She spent approx. 3 hours at the facility before being sent by ambulance to SSM Group main hospital in *************. The attending ICU doctor at ************ was ********************************* in which this complaint is directed. After a series of tests and what was stated to be consultation with specialists, ****************** advised *********( us) that the diagnoses was Juminarti had a " leaky Aorta". She also added that a cardiac surgeon was on stand-by in ************* and she was to be sent under lights( ambulance) to the ************* hospital soonest. I was not able to accompany but upon arrival expecting my wife to be in surgery, I was advised she was in ******** took approx. 20 hours before we received clarity on her condition. What was originally diagnosed as a heart issue turned out to be blood clots in her abdomen and a ruptured iliac vein. As we were not privy to the internal discussions, it is possible ****************** was mislead/ misunderstood ,etc but words do matter and regardless she owns the very inaccurate diagnosis which led to unwarranted stress for almost a day. TEAMhealth name did not surface until mid Dec. 2023 when I received a billing for her services. Given that the claim was filed by SSM Group, the engagement of TEAMhealth this late in the process confused the matter. Given that they are billing( which well above the average) against a code were the diagnosis is a critical element, we find it rather unreasonable that they are seeking compensation for what turned out to be totally inaccurate. I have tried to raise this issue with the ***************** but have been passed on to other departments; thus, we feel it appropriate to bring BBB into the conversation.     I am being billed by this organization for medical expenses incurred in 2020. They continue to invoice me for the charges, despite my repeated efforts to advise them that their failure to promptly bill my insurer resulted in the denial of payment, to which my then insurer advised I am not responsible. I have been dealing with this since March 2021, attempted resolution through the ** DOI, sending letters and the explanation of benefits, to no avail. I'm at my **** end with this company continuing to bill me for charges I am not responsible to pay, all because they failed to do their job timely. I am seeking your assistance in getting through to this company to once and for all put an end to this billing harassment. They need to process whatever accounting/ledger transaction on their end to credit my account and write off the amount due. I am not responsible to pay this amount due and would like my account to reflect a zero balance, and to never hear from them again. I have attached my complete file on this matter. PLEASE, PLEASE, get me some resolution.
