This business is a scam and it is sad that they are claiming that they don’t want a customer to “take advantage of them “ but they are actually the one taking advantage of vulnerable customers who needed help to get out of IRS debt .
In summary, I reached out to the business for assistance and the person that signed me up said the turn over rate to get a resolution is within 1-3 months. They even claimed to have helped people with over $10k irs debt pay $100 or less !
Not only did they not deliver by prolonging the process of my case to 6 months, they also want me to pay additional amount of $800( I think ) that was not agreed on .
To make matters worse , they also threatened to charge me $700 on top of almost $350 on subscription fee they collected without delivering on the promise .
I want all my money back and I want the unwanted threats and calls to cease and desist immediately .
I will find another provider that actually want to help and not scam people who are vulnerable.

PLEASE READ FULL COMPANY RESPONSE: Tax Response Center (TRC)
differs from traditional tax relief companies. Clients become members with TRC
by paying a small monthly membership. When a new member signs on, we follow a
3-step tax repair process to determine the best way to resolve their tax debt.
Step 1: We review all information the IRS/State has on the client. Step 2: We
evaluate the clients’ financials. Step 3: We determine the best resolution
program, which is based on IRS/State rules and regulations, for the client.
Basically, we do the work first so we can guarantee our results, and only
charge a small monthly membership, versus traditional companies who charge $3,000
to $4,000 up front on a promise of something that “might” happen.
Mr. I*******(client) became a member with TRC on 12.12.22. TRC’s
Membership Consultant’s (MC) follow a specific script that explains, in detail,
how our 3-step tax repair process works, costs, and the benefits. They do not
deter from the script. In fact, all of our phone calls are recorded, and
management has reviewed all calls with client and all staff has followed their
correct protocols. In fact, during the initial call with TRC, the MC stated 4
different times that each case is different and time frames vary.
Step 1: It took the client over 4 weeks to return the IL State tax
power of attorneys (POA). Client first hired TRC for an IL State case only. TRC
completed Step 1 within 10 days and the client did not have any balances due to
IL and wasn’t missing any tax returns. Client wanted TRC to investigate his IRS
Case. Within a few days, TRC completed Step 1, again, and the client had a
balance of over $2,600. Client wanted TRC to proceed to Step 2. TRC mailed and
emailed the Personal Financial Statement (FS) to the client on 2.15.23.
Step 2: Client returned the FS on 2.28.23. TRC completed a thorough
    evaluation.
Step 3: TRC completed the determination and client qualified for
the Offer in Compromise (OIC) resolution program. This was done on 3.4.23.
TRC made several attempts to discuss Step 3 with client.
3.7.23- Left voicemail and email. No response from client.
3.21.23- Left voicemail and email. No response from client.
4.7.23- TRC spoke with client. He was not able to talk and
    wanted a callback on Monday.
4.10.23 (Monday) – Left voicemail. No response from client.
4.13.23- (40 days after Step 3 was complete) Client finally
responded back to TRC. TRC discussed the OIC program, and any processing fees,
with the client. Client wanted to think about it for a few days and would get
    back in touch with TRC.
4.18.23- TRC spoke with client and he requested a callback
later. TRC called him back later in the day and he wanted a callback the
    following day.
4.19.23 (following day)- Left voicemail. No response from
    client.
5.3.23- Left voicemail. No response from client.
6.2.23- Left voicemail and email. No response from client.
6.15.23- Client filed a dispute with his bank for one of his
monthly membership payments. TRC staff tried several times to communicate with
    client to no response.
TRC was forced to close client’s case and revoke all
authorizations due to no communication to the dispute and client was in breach
of agreement. In addition, TRC continued for 2 more months to try and communicate
with client and again, to no response.
TRC’s membership agreement is designed to protect the client as
well as TRC. Client signed the agreement and agreed to Section 5 where client
agrees to send TRC a written request for cancellation and all membership
payments are nonrefundable. TRC never received a written cancellation from
client. TRC was representing client in front of the federal government for 6
months and completed the 3-step process all for the monthly membership. TRC did
their job exactly as stated and gave accurate, exact information to the client.
Client has now filed disputes for multiple membership payments.
TRC is now enforcing multiple sections of the agreement through
legal means. TRC follows a strict 3-step process and provides excellent service
to clients. At the same time, TRC does not work for free and services must be
paid for according to signed agreements.
TRC Staff follows proper and ethical protocol with each client
and case. TRC understands having tax debt is difficult and challenging. TRC
also understands many of our clients are in financial hardship, hence why we
charge small monthly membership fees vs. $3,000 - $4,000 up front for false
promises. We verify all the information FIRST so we can guarantee our results. We
treat all our clients professionally and expect the same in return.
