    Westhaven is great company, received everything i was promised my $3000.00 discount my tax credit. No problems with equipment from *******. ***** great to work with let me know about hold *** with PG&E on permits and sign off to use solar. Clean design, install no money down got 36 panels for $68,000.00 fin. payment of ****** month 5% loan. No PG&E ****!!! other than your manatory fee to stay hooked up. Important westhaven are installers not sub-contractors. Been a happy customer for 2 years *****************************

    Westhaven has been HORRIBLE to work with! They get you for thousands of dollars and then when your system fails, they charge you an hourly repair fee even when youre under warranty, then they leave and you check your solar app again and its still not producing a month later. Then they say, I did you the favor and contacted solar edge and they will push through an update but that will take ***** hours. Meanwhile I am paying on the solar loan and now a hefty true up. Highly dissatisfied with the service.

    What started as a good relationship, in the long run, ended with disappointing results. I bought my solar in 2015, with Westhaven being the installation sub-contractor. I had 25 year warranted on the panels and micro-converters from ****, and 10 years parts & labor from Westhaven. The system went down in 2021 and when I received my true-up from **** in Sep 2022, I called Westhaven to come check it out. They didnt send anyone out until March, 2023 and after informing me that their name brand processor wasnt working, they said that I would have to pay for the processor and the labor would be $200.00 per hour. After one way communication, trying to get someone to respond to my emails and phone calls for three months, I was notified that they were no longer a sub-contractor for ***** and had no responsibility to fix my system. When I notified ****, they confirmed that they no longer had an association with Westhaven. ****** then scheduled another sub-contractor to come out and not only replaced the processor, but all of the micro-converters. Since then, my energy usage has decreased by 50% each month and my true-up is the lowest it has been in two years. Too bad Westhaven wasnt worried about their reputation. It seems to have started going downhill when they changed ownership. Poor customer service, no communication with customers after purchasing systems, and not honoring their contracts is the main reasons for giving them a 1-star. Dont use them if you dont have to.

    We shopped around for solar and settled on Westhaven due to the price. We signed all the documentation and were looking forward to starting. We were never contacted and had to reach out to our salesman and ask for a start date. They started installing the solar, and we realized communication would be difficult, if not impossible. At one point, they needed the keys to our attic. They did not return the key for 3 days. When the keysvwere returned, they were left in the lock. It was disappointing. We contacted the salesman, who apologized and said they would speak to their manager about it. No follow-up was made. The contractors didn't communicate amongst themselves. They asked me what needed to be completed or where the previous team had left off. They had to buy additional supplies because they did not know what they needed. I was starting to get frustrated. When they were done, we asked for a walkthrough. To this day, we never received the confirmation of the exact specs of what's backed up. I assumed they would take good notes and house them to reference in the future. We were also told we would get an all-inclusive walkthrough. It consisted of showing us two settings on the inverter and incorrect information. We eventually received a comprehensive walkthrough. As for the backup, I have asked four times and have not received confirmation. I will never know if what is backed up matches his notes. Our next hurdle was the Generac app. We needed to register the equipment to access the app. We asked to get the email that would allow us to register the equipment. We had to reach out twice. They forgot to provide us with a sticker that assists with the app. I would have signed up for another solar company and paid more had I known the issues. Communication is a one-way street on the customers side. It feels like we forced Westhaven to provide good customer service. I kept all the emails and documentation. I recommend another solar provider to anyone that asks.
