    On 9/30/22 I took my truck in to be smoged , I went to smoggys . He tested it and it did not pass . I paid 100$ . He stated have it fixed come back with the reciept and I will retest at no charge ! So I brought it back with part of my reciept he said he could not rest because only partial reciept! This is insane! People loose reciept! He stated the only way is to find the other part of my reciept! Does he not keep records ! This is criminal I want my money back!

    This is copied directly from our invoices that the customer signs before we run their initial inspection and is our policy.

    Pass or Free Retest Policy: At Smoggy’s we are home to the pass or your next retest is on us.  If your vehicle fails
    the initial smog inspection, our policy entitles your vehicle to one free retest within 90 days of your paid initial test,
    provided you present your original failed invoice at the time of your retest.  No duplicates will be accepted-no
    exceptions.  You will be charged an $8.25 State Certificate Fee upon the successful passing of your vehicle at the
    time of your free retest.  If your vehicle fails at the time of the free retest, your next smog inspection will be full price.

    The (partial receipt ) Lisa is referring to is the estimate copy the state requires us to give them before we are allowed to inspect a customers vehicle and does not show that any money was paid it also has our policy on it as well .

    We also tell the customers and show them verbally that they have 90 days to get there free retest and tell them they must have their original paperwork to get the retest.

    As per our policy we would still give the customer their free retest assuming she can produce the original complete failed invoice.
