    I paid $1100 for two awnings. They were relacing two smaller ones I purchased in 2021. The 1500 series is flimsy and the slates themselves leak. I paid $360 to have them installed. What a waste of money. Family over during rain got wet standing under awning. Would not recommend this company

    Do not do business with this company, General Awnings acts like a bait and switch operation. We had an awning quoted 2 months ago and then today when we wanted to place the order, they increased the pricing by 62%. When one employee tried to explain the difference, the manager contradicted him. Neither sales person would answer their phones and when I was able to get in touch with the manager, he could not explain it or give any answers because one employee was out of the office for another 2 weeks. This company is awful and I would watch out for them offering a low price quote and then increasing the price upon ordering.

    However, due to the current pricing environment in our industry, our quotes are valid for 21 days from the date of issuance. Unfortunately, your first quote had expired when you were ready to place the order, and we've had an increase in the price of this product in the meantime. 

    Again, we apologize for this situation, but unfortunately, it is out of our control. We regret that we couldn't provide the products you needed.

    Flashing not included with certain awnings. Company wanted to charge for 2 pieces of flashing after I had already paid ***** dollars for 2 awnings.

    We sincerely regret hear of the dissatisfaction that you had with your experience with us.  We take pride in our ability to provide all information about our ordering process both clearly and upfront.  With regards to this particular order we were able to look through our records and found that we had actually provided information regarding all costs associated with the Shop Drawing, Engineering, and Engineering Revisions processes at the beginning of our communication.  

    Please note that we had also provided the installation instructions for this awning model via email a few times throughout the quoting and ordering process, including before the order was placed, which shows that the full assembly is required for the awnings.

    We are still available to help assist with the project in any way that we can.

    The previous comments were meant for a different situation.

    We apologize for any confusion regarding the flashing being include with the awning that was purchased. We strive to be as clear and upfront as possible about which parts are included with our products by showing clear photos and ordering instructions on our website. Assembly and installation instructions are also available upon request.

    We apologize that we were not clear enough in this case, but unfortunately, this model does not include the flashing.
