Pro Porcelain and Fiberglass Repair Complaint *****************, the son of the owner of Pro Porcelain and Fiberglass Repair damaged my cast iron bathtub while providing bathtub re-glazing services and rendered it unusable. On 9/22/2023 I paid Pro Porcelain $500 for reglazing my cast iron bathtub which had been refinished in a brilliant white by a reglazing business using the Miracle Method. The tub was in very good condition, except for a few superficial indentations caused by tile fragments when the bathroom surround was re-tiled. I feared those dings would eventually cause issues with the bathtubs refinishing coat if not properly sealed. During the remodeling, the dusty blue rim of the tub was exposed. Other than that, my bathtub was in excellent condition before **** re-glazed it . **** did not paint the exposed dusty blue rim. He covered it by smearing caulk over the exposed blue rim and down the sides of the tub. Because my stainless-steel bathtub spout was not protected, it was stained by the caustic reglazing chemicals **** used to when he refinished the bathtub. Apparently, he did not use drop cloths to protect the floor, as reglazing paint dripped on the floor and stained my white ******* porcelain floor tile . When I looked at the reglazed surface of my bathtub, I was disappointed to see that Instead of the smooth, shiny bathtub surface I had before the reglazing, my bathtub now has a rough, grainy, orange peel texture. When I ran my fingers over the surface of the newly reglazed bathtub, I screamed and recoiled in pain when razor-sharp protrusions on the surface pricked my fingers and drew ****** I have been unable to use my bathtub since it was reglazed because of this dangerous phenomenon.Pro Porcelain must refund my $500 so I can get a competent business to reglaze my bathtub. I doubt that ***************** can correct the botched bathtub refinishing job he did the first time and deliver a superb refinished product the second time around. On 11/06/2023, I emailed ******************* at ********************************* , to ask if there is someone else besides **** who can re-glaze my damaged bathtub but got no answer. On 11/15/2023 I emailed him asking for my money back, as his website states that Satisfaction is Guaranteed. To date I have not heard from the Reids, owners of Pro Porcelain. They took my $500 that they are not *********** and damaged my bathtub in the reglazing process and rendered it unusable. In this economy, $500 is a lot of money for a senior living on a limited income, especially since property taxes for 2023 are due in December.
