I believe I may have been 'scammed' out of $19,800. Summit Business Management, Inc(Address: ***********************************************************************, Phone:************, Contact: *********************). contacted me stating they had a buyer interested in purchasing some of my vacation rental weeks (various resorts in ******). Also, they work with a holding company(: SSP ********* **** ******************************************************************, Phone: ************, Contact: *****************************) dealing with management of bank accounts and facilitation of money in ******. I was told by Summit that there would be no out of pocket costs for me. They explained that basically when we close the deal, I would be sent the agreed upon purchase price and any reimbursements. I have a copy of the contract available and wire transfers all available. Shortly after signing the contract I was contacted by **************. He told me that ****** has never required this, but they demanded purchase of a temporary tax ID($3050). He stated that I needed to pay as buyer's attempt to pay was rejected by ******. After I paid the fee, ************** was adamant that we would close. Shortly after that, ************** contacted me and said that ****** was requiring closing costs($3,950). ************** assured me that we would close and I would get my money. Again, shortly after this, ************** indicated that ****** was now requiring taxes($12,800), ************** reassured me that this would be the last transaction and we would close and I would get my money. Again, shortly after this, ************** contacted me and explained that ****** was requiring an SRE Permit ($4,990). At his point, I responded I would not pay as I was starting to feel that the entire deal was a 'scam'. His response was that I had to keep going to get my money. I applied the customer satisfaction clause in the contract to give him 120 days to resolve. It was never resolved and I am out $19,800.

We are deeply sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our service, our main goal is for all our customers to have a great experience; and we are sorry that hasn't been the case here, that being said, we checked your file and your compliance with the contract you signed seems like it's missing a few steps. If youd like to resolve this issue we are more than happy to get you back on track and wrap this up.
Thank you, we hope to hear from you soon.

I am rejecting this response because:

    1)  It doesn't address my proposed resolution

1.1)  Summit fund me money for SRE Permit,  close deal / I get my money, Summit reimbursed at closing.

              OR

         1.2) Summit refunds my $19,800

    2)  At beginning Summit told me that there would be no out of pocket costs from me.  I am requesting you honor that.

    3)  As this has went passed a year, I frequently asked if I was compliant and I was told "yes".

    Sincerely,

While I am rejecting this response, I do not want to come across as 'unaccommodating' to something as simple as a phone call.  However, you have failed to directly respond to my prior proposals.  If the option you plan to propose is for me to fund the *** Permit, this is a 'non-starter' for me and see no valid reason to discuss.  I was told initially upfront that there was no out of pocket costs.  I regret sending the other money and I do not have the funds to cover this cost..  At present, I am still not convinced that this is not a 'scam'.  Each evolution of sending money seems like a 'scam' culminating in the last request from ************** which he stated you have to 'send more money' to keep going in the process.  If this is not a 'scam', I would expect 'options' that do not require anymore 'out of pocket' for me if you are running a reputable business.

    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response.  I will be happy to discuss solutions as long as you have some to offer that do not involve me paying for the *** permit from my funds.  If the solution involves that, then I think it is a 'non-starter' and talking about that will not remedy the situation.  If you do have other solutions to offer, then please respond and we can setup a teleconference.
