    My husband and I went for our first visit, had x-rays and cleaning. The office was dirty, smears on the overhead light, protective glasses with spots on them, a moth diving around the room! During the cleaning from the dentist, I had to stop and choke twice because the water suction was inadequate. Today we were notified that Delta Dental is denying part of our claim because they performed an extra set of x-rays without telling us. We are filing a claim with ****** to remove the extra $92 apiece tacked onto our bill.

    We follow the *** requirements for cleaning and disinfecting office equipment and fixtures. As part of this cleaning protocol strong disinfectants are used. When these disinfectants are applied to hot or plastic surfaces, such as the dental lamps or glasses provided to patients, discoloration can occur. Furthermore, we have our suction systems serviced on a bimonthly schedule to ensure that they are operational.

    We also follow the *** requirements for informed dental and financial consent. We informed you and your husband of the necessity of the **rays as part of the industry standard of care for thorough dental examinations. We also informed both you and your husband of your policies potential limitations and your responsibility to review your insurance's coverage limits

    As of 10:11pm on 6/24/2024, we have not received any information from your insurance company regarding their coverage of the procedures completed.

    As of 10:11pm on 6/24/2024, we have not billed you or your husband for the procedures completed.

    We understand that dental work can be a frustrating experience, however; we pride ourselves on our cleanliness, attention to detail, and adherence to professional, state, and federal standards.
