    I hired Able *********************************************** Services **** on 2/21 to move my furniture to a new home in ******, *** The movers broke my wardrobe, my desk, my bike, my rowing machine. I paid ****** ******* $1,750. I did not know the bike and the rowing machine were broken. I just knew about the wardrobe and the desk. He gave me $300 (around, I don't remember) for the losses.When I found out about the other equipment, I call the company, and left a message. However, no body returned my calls to discuss the ************ Moving mislead people by promoting the fact they were BBB accredited. They were in 2002.I need the owner, ****** ***** to repair my bike and my rowing machine.

    Able Moving and Handyman Services is authentically accredited via BBB. We work with a number of sub-contractors and Lateef is one of them. He however does not have any authority in his contractual obligation to book or service a move via Able Moving and Handyman without informing Able Moving and Handyman and receiving appropriate deposit authorized by the company. The company did not receive any deposit nor any payment from the customer nor have in its possession any contract with the customer's name on it. Furthermore, ****** has is own independent company and Able Moving and Handyman has no control over what he does. We do empathize with the customer and we insisted that Lateef has to resolve the issue with the customer or loose is employment with the company. He assured us that he will. We again empathize with the customer, and we are open to resolving this issue if there was a contractual obligation with the company.

    I read the response from Able Moving and Handyman Service to my original complaint and it is a tissue of lies. The responder admits to engaging Lateef to contract for them and contractors are responsible for the negligence and damages of their subcontractors. I contacted Able Moving and Handyman Service originally through their website https://www.ablemovingandhandyman.com/ and by phone at the number listed on that website. Their claim that they did no business with me is a ludicrous lie and from some other recent reviews I've since read on this company, it seems that this is a repetitive pattern of consumer abuse to avoid responsibility for damages, poor work and work not completed as agreed. This company should compensate me for the ruined living room furniture, the ruined bedroom set, the ruined office furniture the damaged turntable, the damaged barbecue grills, the damaged treadmills and for all the missing tools that they appropriated.

    This incident happened in April ************************************************* my previous response that during busy period we do use vetted independent contractors. No contractor is however authorized to provide any service on behalf of the company without a signed contract or deposit. There was no contract nor any form of deposit to Able Services. We do not have any control over a contractor's private business nor a customer choosing to do business with an individual rather than the business. As a small business all financial transaction goes through me and no one has accused Able Services of any misappropriation of funds or not following through in over 20years. 

    We empathize with the customer's concern. There was however no business transaction with the customer.
