I leasing a storage unit #**** from iBox self storage. In the past few weeks I've noticed items are being stolen from my storage unit. I've spoken to folks in the office about the problem their response was I neefed to file a claim with my insurance company but items continue to be stolen as we speak so should i wait until everthing is stolen? The storage facility should take the thefts more seriously and look into how someone is entering my unit as I have the only key. I'm hoping the facility will come up with a plan on how to stop the thefts from my unit. I don't have the time nor the resources to move my stuff from storage right now, I'm caring for my son who is sick and in home hospice. I'm hoping someone will reach out to me with a resolution regarding this problem Thank you ************************* ************

She will not file a police report.  We have told her to file a claim will her insurance company. We have asked her what items were stolen. We do not see damage indicating a break in. We take this very seriously. I have post pictures of the unit showing no damage. The is no way another customer can get into the unit. There are no other keys to get into the unit, the lock company actually doesn't make a master key at all, for just this reason.  Each person buys a new lock when renting a unit and they have the only keys for that lock. To get into the unit in such cases that the customer loses their keys the lock must be drilled out.

In response to the businesse's comments

    1.  I never stated I refuse to file a police report nor a claim to my insurance company

    2.  On or about 5/22/2024 I received a phone call from the storage facility stating my lock was damaged so they removed it and secured my storage unit

    3.  On 5/24/2024 I came to the storage facility spoke to the 2 female office staff who stated that the lock on my unit had to be removed, during that conversation they offered me a lock that had belonged to a guy who had just cleaned out his unit and didn't need it any longer. One of the ladies walked me over to my unit she cut off their lock and we put on the used lock and I left

    4.  All my asking is for the faculty to help me figure out how my items are being stolen from my unit.

We have security the unit using securcity tape. The unit has not been entered an any other way but through the lock. If someone is entering the unit they have a key. We have done all we can to make sure all of our customer belonging are secure. We have never had a problem like this in 7 years of operation. Aspart of our lease a customer must have insurance on the unit. She has not develied to us a copy of her home owners insurance and her next step is to call the police and file an insurance claim. Ibox take sucurity very secussly.
