I shipped my 2023 *** 530i from the Baltimore VPC to the Honolulu VPC in June. When I dropped off my car and had the inspection paperwork filled out and signed, my paperwork clearly indicates that there was not damage to my cars grill; however, upon picking up my vehicle something clearly hit my car and broke out the plastic pieces on my cars grill as well as my car sustaining a large and deep scratch on the drivers side. The gentleman at the Honolulu VPC, after observing the damage to my grill and examining my paperwork, instructed me to file a claim. I submitted photographic evidence and a claim to the Honolulu VPC on 15 July. On 13 August, I received an email from the Honolulu VPC with an attached and grainy photo taken at a distance of roughly 10 feet from my car, which they claim shows the grill damage. In the close up photos I provided to the Honolulu VPC the damage is very difficult to see even in full sunlight and taken at a distance of 10 inches. They have refused my claim. The Honolulu VPC has denied my claim for the grill damage and offered me $47.10 to correct the scratch on my door. I have not had a quote done on fixing the scratch at this time because I want the totality of the damage to include the grill be covered before I seek out a body shop to do the repairs. The Honolulu VPC continues to deny my claim request relying on a poor photo in bad lighting from approximately 10 feet away from my car as their "substantiating" proof of pre-existing damage to my car. This is despite the fact that I have photos from the exact same time that show no damage, the drop-off damage form signed by myself and filled out by the gentleman at the Baltimore VPC clearly do not show damage to the car. My car was 5 months old at the time of shipping so their claim that somehow my grill was damaged is patently false.

I demand that IAL take responsibility for the damage to my vehicle, which was shipped from ******* by the US government. Despite their claim that the hail damage is an "Act of God," I maintain that they were fully aware of the impending hail and neglected to protect the vehicle by not utilizing their ample garage space, capable of accommodating around 100 vehicles. It is unacceptable that the vehicle was only placed in the garage after sustaining damage.
