The salon owner ruined my haircut. I normally have super long hair. She had previously trimmed 3" off the length but used clippers not shears in order to do it super fast I guess. I went back and asked her to trim 4" more and give me a *************** haircut. She said, oh no more like 7"...I asked why? I explained I wanted it to be long. I showed her pictures and asked if she would view a video of the exact haircutting technique I wanted, she said she would not. I asked for a long, straight, all one length ***, which was about 7" below my shoulders, hitting mid-chest & to my back shoulder blade. I showed her with my hand where the length should be. She took clippers not shears again, and began hacking across my hair, she did nothing else and sent me off. I ended up with a short, above the *************************, that was incredibly short in the back, that flipped and had no character or style. Nothing like what I had asked but I didn't know how bad. I went back, asked her to fix the back/nape of my neck only, so it wouldn't flip. I had my back to her, obviously. I guess she hacked into the back even more, and then started point cutting and texturizing the whole thing. It appeared very flat, thinned out and uneven. When I got home it was impossible to style. One side is longer than the other and the back is super short, uneven with what appears to be a hole off center, where she cut too much hair off. It is impossible to style, because of all the points/layers it flips more than before. It is the worst hacking and destructive short mess I ever could have expected. She refuses to acknowledge any wrong doing, refused to listen to what I wanted all long, all one length straight *** past my shoulders and left me with something that is not symmetrical, flips and is a nightmare. Very ugly and looks like it needs to be fixed. It will take at least two months before I can have someone fix the back and hole she left and over 12 months before I will get back to the length I asked for. This salon owner takes short cuts, juggling at least 2-3 people at once, leaving her client's hair compromised. I will now have to live with the mistakes and careless errors she has left me with for more than 15 months. For now I want my money back which totals, $136.00.

    Hello,

I am writing in regards to the complaint I filed last week.  I was seeking a refund for two haircuts because what I got was not at all what I asked for, the total was $136.00 for two haircuts.  I got a refund check from the salon for $70.00, basically splitting the difference of the two haircuts, which is not correct.

The problem is still that I asked for a *************** 8 below my shoulders with straight blunt ends .  She gave me a super short **** * shorter than what I asked for, above the shoulders that is also spikey and point cut. This makes the hair flip like a **** cut at my neckline.  Basically the exact opposite of what I was trying to achieve.

I shouldnt have to pay for a haircut she chose.  She chose to cut my hair above the shoulders, she chose to texturize the ends and she also made it super short and uneven, which leaves me in more of a bind, because I cant get it fixed until it grows out a bit.  It will take a year and a half to grow back 8, which was the amount she chose to cut, not what I wanted.

When a consumer is charged for a product or service, they get to choose what they are paying for.  The sales person or in this case the hairdresser, doesnt get to chose what THEY want and then bill the customer for something they didnt ask for.

I didnt ask for this haircut and I shouldnt have to pay for even one of the sessions I scheduled with her.  She still owes me $66.00 for the first haircut.

    Thank ********************** ******

    Business Response

    This is from Hair elite.
I really dont know how to respond, nor like to explain it!
I have been an stylist for 30 yrs!At lease to remember !this is the first or second complaint , all I can say is I m not perfect, so who to say that all the clients are always right & normal .
I got the text from her after she already reported to BBB and demand for money back! So I did .
Is it fair? No! But I settled for that , because Im happy to not gave her an other chance to insult me again!time to time I have already refused to do her hair , but she insisted  that I m the best and trusted the most in years..
Just to remind whoever sit in your chair ,start with all her bad experiences before ,and start to tell you , how to do your job, please dont even bother.
I believe this is not her first ,nor the last for her ,  good luck , thanks !

I am rejecting this response because: the salon owner has not addressed the fact that due to multiple bad haircuts from her and only one refund for $70 this does not resolve my botched haircut. ****** cut 8-9 more than I authorized her to, then she botched my neckline starting and stopping midway by beginning an under cut ***, I did not want and completing destroying the whole thing by texturizing the ends which will now take over a year to grow out. I understand shes wishing me luck and sending me off, but unfortunately because 20 min in her chair now results with more than a year of damage to my hair and appearance I am not able to move on. I am left to deal with this hair that is impossible to style, flipping, extremely short and high maintenance and she must be held accountable. She was negligent and left me with a mess! She still owes $65 but thats not going to fix my hair or change the fact I am humiliated in public and at work during photo shoots, online meetings snd presentations, during work events with colleagues. She must be held accountable as a licensed professional. She took advantage of me when my back was turned and chopped off 8-9 inches more than I asked and Id like to know how she will resolve that as a licensed ******** business owner.

    Sincerely,
