    They were given access to our storage units after we were displaced from our home after a tragic fire in our neighborhood. Every single item had been gone through and listed in a spreadsheet a few weeks prior to *** and **** getting access to it, by a company in 8 days, and valued at ******* dollars. We received a ******************************************************************************************************* why it was taken. The keepsakes I had requested, gone. My expensive purses I had requested, gone. My backpacking tents and expensive gear, gone. They did not provide an itemized list or details as to why most of our stuff was hauled away. They are horrible and they steal. BEWARE they steal your stuff. DO NOT trust them or work with them. They scammed fire victims and it makes me sick.

    We appreciate your feedback and regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify several key points regarding the process.


    The spreadsheet of items provided included various goods, such as food and makeup, which we discussed with you as being unsellable due to hygiene and public safety regulations. Additionally, multiple boxes were marked as unsalvageable by the insurance company, requiring disposal. For health reasons, we cannot sell potentially smoke-damaged or contaminated items to the general public.


    We ensured you were informed in advance of the scheduled haul-away, giving you the opportunity to review the remaining items and retain anything of personal value. Additionally, we took special care to set aside the personal belongings you specifically requested weeks prior to the sale for your convenience.


    After the sale, we provided a detailed auction report outlining what was sold and consigned. We also made multiple efforts to address your concerns privately, as we always strive to resolve issues professionally and fairly. As discussed prior to the sale, used items do not retain full retail value, which impacts final sale prices.


    Regarding the items in storage, we did not have access to them until two years after they had been stored elsewhere. By the time we received them, their condition may have changed. Additionally, some of your belongings were stored alongside food and other items that had been affected by rodent activity. In instances where contamination is a concern, we must prioritize public health and safety by properly disposing of questionable items. We absorbed the cost of removing biohazardous materials in an effort to assist you.


    We understand that this situation is difficult, but we must operate with integrity and in full compliance with legal and ethical standards. We cannot and will not engage in any actions that mislead buyers or compromise public safety. If you have already filed an insurance claim for your loss, we recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine whether you are permitted to resell items for which you have been compensated.
