We recently hired Detrick Repair Solutions to do some remodeling work for us, and most of the work ended up having to be redone professionally. I found out from the new tiler we hired that **** Detrick had done this exact same thing to a disabled woman recently. Water from her bathroom that he had just redone was leaking into her floor/ walls below. This cost her an additional $10,000-$20,000 that he never compensated her for. He also tried to install non-waterproofed, crooked, drywall in our shower originally and then went on to do the worst tile job any of us had seen in our lives. There wasnt any backing behind the floor tiles so if you tapped on them you could hear that it was hollow and would crack. He let so much tile mastic and tile material down the shower drain that the unit below ours had to have their plumbing redone as it couldnt be unclogged with a snake. The electrician and plumber who came in to fix his work were also astonished by how bad his work was, most of which was not to code. He didnt protect anything despite asking numerous times, so he ended up doing immense damage to the unit. The paint job was horrible and needs to be redone. Our building manager said he has never witnessed anything like this before. Detrick Repair Solutions owes us thousands of dollars for lost rent (which is spelled out in our Agreement); for work that they never performed; and for damages they caused to the unit since we already paid half the amount upfront. They falsified a final invoice that was blatantly inaccurate and so I responded to it in great detail a month ago. They have not responded to any calls, texts or emails in months, and then hired a debt collection company to threaten me. I have attached the email I had sent to them with all of these details, a copy of our Agreement, the final invoice including the erroneous paint charge, and just a few sample images to try to stay under the size limit.
