STAY AWAY. I filed a police report with Basecamp Hotel. The front desk manager charged me double the nightly rate as discussed upon checking in (before taxes and fees). This business is a scam, I have since emailed and called this business multiple times over the past few weeks without any reply.Additionally, I have never seen such a poor cleaning staff. There is trash EVERYWHERE on property, and staff walks right by it!

My husband and I were visiting my hometown and decided to stay here while on vacation. We've been to the ************** locations and had great experiences, we had high hopes for the ******* location too. The outside is pretty cute, but the inside is a different story. We walked in and immediately realized the quality was subpar. I have an extreme mold allergy and noticed an issue upon staying in the room. My sinuses flared up, my chest felt heavy, and my lungs burned. There was an old water leak on the ceiling from the upstairs bathroom (i.e. hidden mold growth), yellow mold stains on the bathroom ceiling, walls that were cracking and warped, black sludge coming out of the bathtub trip lever, and the bathtub ceramic was chipping off. It was so bad that I'd have to wear flips flops if I wanted to shower. I went to the front desk that evening and asked to switch rooms. They didn't have anything available and told me to come back the next morning. The staff was very accommodating that morning and we got our room switched that day. The second room was better, but still lacking in quality and cleanliness. The yellow mold stains on the bathroom ceiling were still present, probably due to lack of ventilation. The manager, *******, offered to refund us if we canceled our stay that night, but specifically told us that all other surrounding hotels are booked. ******* then offered us a 50% refund for the inconvenience, which we never received. I called her today and she is denying us any refund. I was gaslit over the phone by her stating my mold sickness was not because of the room, and she plans to simply paint over the mold in the hotel rooms. I asked to speak to her manager, which is the operations manager. She told me that my phone number would be passed along to him. ******* then stated that my "phone call with him will be even worse than my phone call with her". Who says that kind of thing to a hotel guest?
