    Commuting solutions manages bicycle shelters along bus routes and stops. Prior to going to graveyard shift, I wanted access to these shelters since keeping my bicycle in the open overnight increases risk in something happening to it. I applied weeks in advance, received the **** card I would need to access the shelters, but by the time I started my shift it didn't work, and my bike was destroyed.

    Commuting Solutions isn't responsible for the bike shelters, they are owned by either the *** or Boulder County.  Our role is to distribute access cards, educate the public and to clean the shelters.  Issues with the shelter operations is not our responsibility.  We inform public agencies of any issues, but they are responsible for ensuring the shelters are operational.  We are sorry someone destroyed ***'s bike but unfortunately this is the risk of leaving your bike somewhere no matter how safe anyone tries to make it. We do put up posters at the shelters explaining the possibility of theft and how to better protect your bike if choosing to lock it up at a shelter.
