I was seeing Dr. ***** at Colorado Urology in Superior for prostate cancer. In a telehealth visit on 7/24 Dr. ***** of Colorado Urology told me that the next step would be an MRI guided biopsy with anesthetic. A few days later his staff called to make arrangements for a biopsy without the **** I pointed out the discrepancy, but they insisted I talk to Dr. ***** to clarify the issue. This could have been done in a two minute phone call, but they insisted on scheduling another telehealth session so they could run up the bill. It took them an entire month to schedule it, introducing yet more delay into my treatment. When we finally connected, on 8/28, Dr. ***** confirmed the original plan, and we were done with the call in under two minutes total. Then what Dr. ***** told me on 28 August was again contradicted by his staff on 14 October. When I again asked for clarification, Dr. ***** called me and angrily said he was cancelling the procedure. Which he did not do, as the surgery center called me on 21 October and said he had not told them it was cancelled. Apparently Dr. ***** has a major problem communicating with his own staff. Dr. ***** billed the two minute call on 8/28 to ********* He could have used a phone call to give me the contradictory information. Using a telehealth call instead of a simple phone call is fraud. Colorado Urology continues to bill me for a $20 copay which I refuse to pay. I have written multiple times to Colorado Urology and to Dr. ****** with zero response. Colorado Urology has so far failed to reimburse my insurance company and is threatening me with collections over this $20 copay.

Colorado Urology billing keeps sending me bills without detailed explanations even though my health insurance companies and have made all payments and deductibles. I have not had any appointments them since April 2024. I have tried to discuss this with their billing office in ******, ** multiple times but it is extremely difficult to reach them by phone. On 6-18-24 I received a past due bill of$150.31 but after reviewing re ordsit turns out this was a balance forward from 2021 and 2022 which my insurance should have paid. I did manage to talk with them and was told a supervisor would contact me to discuss this but was ne er contacted. On 7-19-24 I received a 'final notice' saying that I owed $39.19 which I paid on 7-24 and assumed this was the last bill I would receive. On ***** I received another invoice of $20 which I paid, wrongly assuming this would be the last bill.On 12-16-24 I received yet another bill for $18.50 stating only that it was a balance forward. I tried to call them 2x but was unable to get through.I have called the physician's office previously but am referred to the billing office in ******.

I paid $1599.57 on 2/6/24 for a procedure I had done on 2/14/24. After insurance processed I was over charged by $379.66. I have called my insurance and the provider on a 3 way call multiple times and even though my insurance has told them that I was charged wrong they are still refusing to refund my money. They told my bank I was charged correctly which is a lie.

While checking in for a pre-op visit on 2/19, I was notified of an outstanding balance of $702.26 and was told I had to pay at that time. I paid by my credit card. When I spoke with my wife, she notified me that she had also paid via an online portal using her credit card. In effect, we overpaid by $702.26. We immediately notified the office of the overpayment and requested a refund. My wife called and I inquired when in the office. We provided copies of receipts multiple times as well as a copy of our credit card transactions when requested to demonstrate that the charges were billed to our account. I have twice requested a representative from management to contact me, as no progress has been made on the reimbursement. Both times I was promised a return call from management with 24 hours; I have yet to be contacted. The only status that has been provided is that the transactions need to be researched. This has not changed in the 5 weeks since we started the process; additionally, if the transaction were to be reimbursed, they notified me that it would take an additional 4 6 weeks. We are now looking at 3 months for a simple reimbursement, but I cannot even obtain a status of the research.I am enclosing copies of both receipts as well as our credit card transaction to show the overpayment. The account listed from my wife's payment is ********. I simply want my overpayment reimbursed.

I had a medical procedure where I was quoted a total price for the procedure of ******, which I paid in advance, but then was billed over $2,175 following the procedure. Attempts to communicate with the billing office have been very difficult due to excessive hold times, regularly over an hour.- 6/29/2023: Initial consult appointment with Colorado Urology. The billing **** told me my insurance (Cigna) is not accepted there and I must pay in full for an Ultrasound. They are an IN NETWORK Cigna provider. ***** spoke with them multiple times to verify coverage. Yet they still denied my insurance and demanded up front payment in full. This is either a scam or incompetence. But they are demanding up front 100% payments even though they accept the insurance.

I was referred to Colorado Urology for a medical procedure. I visited their location at ********************************************************************, was approved for the procedure, and scheduled. They stated that they needed to schedule it a few weeks out to allow them the time they needed to contact my insurance provider to find out what the out-of-pocket cost would be for me. Several says later I received a phone call from their billing department stating that the cost would be $441.81. This was considerably more than I expected to pay, so I thought about it over the weekend. I called them back on Tuesday, 10/11/2022, and made the payment. I had the procedure done on 11/03/2022. Yesterday, on 12/06/2022, I received a Medical Bill from Colorado Urology dated 11/25/2022 for the amount of $162.90. I called my insurance provider to find out why the out-of-pocket amount for my procedure that they had told Colorado Urology before the procedure was done was so different from the actual out-of-pocket amount. The representative at my insurance provider stated that all claims are based on contracted amounts and that they would not have answered questions on individual claims over the phone. She then offered to call Colorado Urology to have a conference call between the 3 of us. After explaining the situation, the Colorado Urologist claimed that the out-of-pocket amount that I was quoted was just an "estimate" based on a call that they made to my insurance provider and that the person that had quoted me "would have" told me that it was just an estimate. The idea of the quote that I received being an estimate was never stated. Additionally, the representative at my insurance provider reiterated that they would not have answered the questions that the Colorado Urologist claimed they called in to ask. Colorado Urologist needs to waive the amount that they claim that I owe as I have paid the entirety of the amount that they stated that I would owe out-of-pocket.
