I did not use their product. They sent me an email offering 20 percent off of an Amazon purchase. I immediately went to Amazon to buy the product, only to find that the promotion had ended. Since I had received the email only 18 hours before, I assume they knew they were sending an email advertising a promotion that actually did not exist. I reached out to the company and was told that they understood how disappointing it is to miss a promotion and that I could subscribe on their website for 10 percent off. Sounds like bait and switch to me. I will find a similar product elsewhere.

While we understand the disappointment of missing a sale price, this was a real promotional sale and not a bait and switch. The offer of a 10% discount on our website was offered in hopes of easing that disappointment.
Flash sales are a common and legal practice.
In this case, we sent an email on 3/31/2024 with the headline - 20% off Amazon 24-hours only along with a countdown timer to make it clear that the offer was for a limited time only. The second reminder email was sent on 4/1/2024 reminding people that the sale was ending. The coupon for the sale was set to expire on Amazon when the sale ended. Like Amazon Prime Days and Black Friday sales, there is an expiration date and consumers are encouraged to take advantage of special pricing while it is available.
