The transaction occurred on 27 Aug 24. The company was hired to remove and replace approx 12 feet of rotting trim on my house. I was quoted by telephone a price of $450.00. Upon his arrival I showed the technician what needed to be done. He produced a document on his phone confirming the $450.00 and giving him the approval to proceed. I signed that document. He was supposed to send me a copy of it. He did not. After the job was finished I paid with a credit card which he entered on his phone and I signed it and asked for a copy. He said he would email it to me. When I looked at the email thats when I discovered the charge to my credit card of $550.00 instead of the $450.00 that I agreed to. The technician did not send the credit card receipt, instead he sent me a copy of an invoice with some description of work thats needed of which I dispute Some without reservation. After I received the invoice I called Mr ********************** and told him that the charge was not what we agreed. He said it was but that he had a recording of the agreed amount. He would listen to it and get back to me. He called back and said the recording said $550.00. I disagreed with what he said. He then told me he would send me a check for $100.00 in the next few days and that I should not ever call his phone number again. I said okay thats fine with me. He not send the check. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. He asked them for the proof that the charge was not valid. I dont have the proof, but they do. They have the recording and the document I signed before they started the work which shows the agreed price of $450.00. I believe that recorded phone call and the document that I signed will show that I was quoted a price of $450.00.
