    Date of transaction: 2/26/23. Amount paid: $150. Business committed: Fireplace Inspection and cleaning. Nature of dispute: They never inspected and never cleaned the chimney. Resolution: Business refused to return $150. Job reference number 4146C, work site: ****************************************************. My elderly Mother hired them for a Chimney Sweep inspection and cleaning. They never inspected nor cleaned the chimney. The technician said the chimney was too small to inspect/clean from below so he went on the roof to try. He later came down and said he cleaned it and was paid $150. I went on the roof and took pictures. He never took apart the chimney because the screws on the newly painted chimney were untouched. So, no inspection AND no cleaning on the roof and downstairs. Also, she has a gas fireplace and gas fireplaces dont need to be cleaned. They should have known that. My Mother is elderly and she relied on them to be the professionals, but they took her money anyway. They never returned my calls or emails. I got a hold of the manager eventually and he refused to reimburse. So, they lied to us about what they did, took her money and then when caught, refused to make things right.
