On November 20, 2024, Better Business Bureau contacted ATS Exteriors concerning an advertising claim found on its website, https://www.atsroofingdenver.com. Specifically, ATS Exteriors claims, "For over 20 years, we have proudly serviced the Denver metropolitan area.", as well as “Denver's #1Local Roofing Company.” However, BBB is unable to substantiate a start date for ATS Exteriors prior to 2019. According to business licensing information from Colorado Secretary of State, the company was incorporated in June 2019.
According to the Code of Advertising, advertisers bear primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers made before publication or broadcast and, upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.
Despite written requests, as of January 9, 2025, ATS Exteriors has failed to substantiate or modify its advertisement.
