    A few days before 7/25/2024 the Monday of that week my wife brought in her 06 Hummer to Royal gorge motors for a tune up. The vehicle went in healthy, no check engine light on, no trouble with the engine on and off the highway, etc. When Royal gorge motors call us on July 24, 2024 and told us the vehicle was ready for pick up when we arrived a so called mechanic just got back from a test drive and was under the hood "checking for leaks." This detail is important for later on in the complaint. We took the vehicle home not noticing any problems but then again we live 3 mins away. Later that day we drove the vehicle to ****************, on that trip we noticed the engine light was on and the engine ran rough at highway speeds. I coded the vehicle when we got home and decided to take it back to them in the morning and have them investigate the problem. The next morning we brought it back to them and explained the situation. They didn't even check out the problem, they code it then told ***** what it was coding. They didn't even investigate, diagnose, open the hood, nothing. ***** gave us some fantastical story about what was causing the engine light to illuminate. We were leaving on vacation that day and he gave the vehicle a clean bill of health and told us to go and have fun in **********. Well, the vehicle wasn't fine we broke down in **************, **. My wife and I called them the next morning and informed them of what happened. Expecting them to take responsibility for what they done they took none. Instead they blamed us for not checking the oil or for "leaks." If I am not mistaken that is what your mechanic said he was doing when he returned from the test drive, if I am not mistaken when someone brings their car in for a tune up they pay the mechanic to do all that good stuff for them, if I am not mistaken vehicles are suppose to leave a shop in better condition then they came in not worse especially with an engine light illuminated that wasn't before going in.
