    While we (the Owners) entered into a Contract with this Company and **** Shook in the Summer of 2022 for a relatively straight-forward primary suite renovation and small mudroom addition (THE PROJECT), the Contract was terminated for Breach of Contract in December of 2023. The Project did not meet equitable timing / completion requirements and drug on considreably due to RI Shook's inability to staff it, have materials delivered or maintain the agreed critical path. Additionally, although Invoices were paid promptly by Ownership, RI Shook failed to pay Subcontractors; resulting in Ownership recieving an Intent to Lien from the Roofing Subcontractor despite the Owners paying RI Shook for Roofing in full per the Contract. RI Shook has failed to make payment to multiple Subcontractors. C.R.S. ********* requires RI Shook to hold in trust all payment received by the Owners for payment to Subcontractors.In addition to issues associated with timing and payment(s), significant damage and defective and improper construction installation was experienced throughout the Project. Since the Contract was termintated, the Owners have had to remove, repair and fix / finish multiple construction issues, including the defective rear door installation. Exterior windows were installed in a manner that could have voided the Manufacturer's warranty. Furthermore, the entirety of self-leveling concrete needed to be chipped up and re-poured since RI Shook failed to properly seal the installation. Due to issues associated with timing, scheduling, payment and defective construction practices, we are reviewing this Company fairly and equitably as related to our experience.

    ****, owner of this business, does not pay his subcontractors. I did a job for him back in February, two months later I still have not been paid.
