  OVERPRICED! This was not a bad service experience at the start. Responded and scheduled a technician for a malfunctioning electrical outlet. This is where communication would have been helpful from the business. A description of costs for this type of work; for example. Instead a tech is sent out ($99 service evaluation), which they can waive, if the problem is found pretty quickly. It was diagnosed in maybe ten minutes. Then comes the estimate $492.09 to replace one GFCI outlet! I was shocked and let the tech know, they gave me $100 discount - so $392.09. Classic rip-off strategy here to get them in and you are either wasting $100 estimate or they are price gauging the service. Never using them again and spreading the word in our building.

  *******, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We also received a call from *****, which led to a voice message to her from our office. Our up-front pricing is based on the typical time it takes for our licensed (plumbers, electricians, and HVAC) technicians to perform each task, plus the price of any materials used. We do charge a service evaluation fee to get our technicians to your home to diagnose the problem because we don't know the root cause until we get a chance to see the issue and determine the full extent of repairs needed. We feel it would be far worse to provide a price over the phone and find out we quoted a solution that didn't fix the problem.I'm sure you understand the costs of gas, labor, and parts have had an impact on prices. The evaluation fee in no way covers our expenses to send a licensed technician out to perform an evaluation.We have no intention of designing a rip-off or a price-gouging strategy. That's not how we've remained the go-to service company in ****** for 97 years. We value every customer as well as each of our employees and always seek to do the right thing for all. Please do let us know if there is something we can do to keep your business or to help you find value in the work we performed.

  I believe that **** is overcharging the customer for the most simple job and discriminating against women business owners. $1455.30 and or even $905.03 is an outrageous price to charge anyone to install a bathroom sink faucet but that is what I was quoted. The higher price includes their supplying the faucet, the lower price is if I provide the faucet which adds up even more. Also the staff told me that every truck has a faucets on their trucks which they don't.Any other company contacted does not even come close to that price and then one has to pay an additional $100 to join their club.

Bell hires licensed, highly-experienced plumbers who receive ongoing training to stay ahead of industry and product changes. Our prices are not the highest, nor the lowest in the service industry. We do arrive in stocked vehicles with parts for most jobs. While we don't stock more than a few faucet styles and mounting configurations, we can certainly help you select and order just what you're looking for.   I was charged $50 just for the plumber to come out and quote me $900 to fix a shower facet. The plumber admitted the price was outrageously high, but said he didn't set the prices. I spoke with his supervisor who also admitted they charge more than most companies. Total rip off! I advise you do it yourself or find a reputable plumber who will not try to fleece you.
