On 7/16/24 I ordered several products from Outside the Breadbox (OTB) through their website including a 6-pack of Vegan Oat Onion Bagels for $47.95. On 7/18/24 I received the order and at that time that order appeared to be correct. Within the order were 6 bags of bagels labelled "Oat Onion Bagels." I freeze most of the bagels since these are for personal consumption and take me about a month to consume. Between 7/19/24-8/12/24 I consumed about half of the bagels, but notice that they look and taste slightly different than what I expected. I thought it was due to variations from in the batch or a possible change in the recipe. Also throughout this period I start experiencing stomach pain and other digestive issues. On 8/13/24 I realize that the bagels I received are not Vegan "Oat Onion Bagels" as labelled, but contain cheese, which has been causing my digestive distress and is upsetting as I am vegan and ethically opposed to consuming dairy. I promptly reach out to the supplier to inform them of the error. After 2 weeks of discussion with OTB, they send me an e-mail code for 25% off, which doesn't cover the cost of the bagels I couldn't consume and ignores the health repercussions I incurred as a result of their error. They said they wouldn't refund or replace the bagels since I didn't inform them of the error within 72 hours of the delivery. I told OTB that I believe I am entitled to a refund of $47.95 or a replacement box of bagels since their error rendered half of their order unusable and the other half caused me physical pain. It's nearly impossible to discern the difference between the Vegan Oat Onion Bagels and the cheese bagels from the exterior. I shouldn't be expected to dissect the insides of 6 bags of bagels immediately upon delivery to confirm that their contents match the label.I've attached photos of a cross section of the bagel showing the subtle yellow cheese flecks, including one in front of the mislabeled bag.
