I took my car to TGA Performance on 12/10/24 for a turbo part installation & a tune. Initial quote was $1,221.30, & I paid the non-refundable $150 fee upfront.12/11 I received a call from **** informing me that additional labor would be required due to my turbo being installed incorrectly previously. The labor originally was going to cost $330 & now they were quoting me $860 more. **** admitted they made a mistake in the quote & labor should have been $660 not $330. This felt like a bait & switch as I may not have chosen for them to do the work to begin with if they had quoted me properly. They should have taken responsibility for the quote mistake & honored the original quote.I requested to speak with the owner, Jake *********************** but they refused to let me speak to him. I then reached out to **** *****, the account manager, who ultimately agreed to remove $220 from the invoice.12/16 I was told that another part had been damaged during install. They offered to order new one and I would pay for parts and labor or I could bring my own part & be charged only $110 for labor 12/17 I was informed they found a new part, but I told them I would rather bring my own part later as discussed 12/16. When picking up the car, I was reassured that was the plan. I paid in full and took my car.12/18 they contacted me to tell me that they actually had installed the new part without my consent & that I needed to pay for both the labor for install & the part or bring them back the part & still pay for labor. They did not tell me any of this when I picked up the car & added this to the invoice after the fact.I shipped the part to them at my own cost but the owner insists I still owe the labor even though this was their error. Again, this is a bait and switch where they hook you and then start adding unauthorized charges after the fact.
