Colorado Christian University does not care about its online students. They call students several times a day prior to enrollment, but after the first week of classes, students are on their own. It takes 3-5+ business days to hear back from anyone at the university regarding issues or questions. Their prices are astronomical compared to most State Universities and the education received at CCU is laughable. The entire Creative Writing program is based off of *************************' ************* Master Class (which is $50/month online), and the "textbooks" can be bought off amazon for $10; yet, students are paying $1500/class and $60 for the same books. It's a joke. The 5 week courses are appealing to adults; however, you can only take one class at a time and the homework load is the same as taking 12 credit hours (or 4 - 16 week classes). Save yourself money and a headache, and take 4 - 16 week online courses through a local university. You'll get a better education for less money, and your emails and calls will be responded to within one business day. Lastly, CCU defines itself as a Christian University; however, I found the biblical aspects of the classes to be minimal and their theology to be watered down garbage. I've attended a Christian University in my state and CCU pales in comparison, as the biblical worldview integrated every aspect of the assignments (provided a biblical worldview and a secular worldview), and the students were cared for, respected, and an active part of the campus community, whether they are online students or on campus. I would not recommend CCU to anyone.
