1.My wife, two male friends and myself came to The Summit at Interquest for my birthday on 21 January 2023. 2.We are at the bar, buying rounds for all four of us and eating fries. At this point my wife kisses me. We are all chatting with the guy that is sitting next to us and generally having a nice time. We attempt to order another round and are told that we cannot. We say ok, but may we ask why. No reason is given. I would like to emphasize that there has been no incident, no harsh words, or inappropriate behavior. 3. We asked if we could speak with the manager to better understand what happened. He came over and explained to us that the females in our group were cut off. He repeated this during the conversation approximately five times. I specifically repeated to him the females in our group are cut off?, but the males in our group can continue to drink? We asked if something happened, there was nothing they could pinpoint. We asked what the maximum number of drinks a patron could be served was, we were told that there is no specific number. We asked why the males in our group could continue to be served, but the females could not, we were ignored. 4.At this point I felt we were being discriminated against and asked for a copy of my receipt to document the number of drinks we had had. The manager refused to provide us a copy and instead gave us his email address. It disgusts me that in 2023 I am not treated as an equal in my own town, that men are permitted to choose for me and my wife whether they believe I have had enough to drink while allowing our male companions to drink as much as they like. Sexism is not something that I have to stand for, and you should not allow it in your business. The issue here is not that you chose to stop serving us, it is that you chose to stop serving the females while continuing to serve the males and then stated that was what you were doing. Business Response

    Date: 02/14/2023

As a business that serves alcoholic beverages, we take our commitment to the community of serving alcohol responsibly very seriously. That means making sure we do our part in protecting the community we serve. On this date, the bartenders and ***s decided to stop alcohol service to these two guests, and they were displaying signs of impairment. This decision was strictly based on the lower inhibitions these two guests displayed. The size of an individual and their *** play a factor in the way they display the effects of alcohol. By no means was the *** being sexiest towards these guests. I apologize that they feel that way about how the situation was handled. This situation provides a coaching opportunity to the *** and the others involved in handling this situation by being aware of the perception that could be made by their actions.

Thank you for reaching out to us about this situation. We are committed to a safe, fun experience at The Summit for all of our guests.
