      I was recently referred by my ************ Doctor to follow-up with the American Vein & Vascular Institute to diagnose and recommend treatment for blot clotting issue. They were able to accommodate an ultrasound appointment promptly which was completed. The problem arose with a follow-up appointment with the Doctor to review results and discuss treatment. The appointment was for May 16. I called at 8:30AM to confirm the appointment time. I was told that it was 11AM. I arrived at the office at 10:45AM but was told I had missed the appointment by 15 min which they told me was at 10:30AM and could not be seen. Although this might not seem like a big deal, it is something that raises questions about their operations and client service care. I am a small business owner and I wasted an hour and half going to and from their office which resulted in being turned away and rescheduled the next week. Not to mention attention to my medical problem being delayed. I am very diligent and respectful about keeping appointments. This was not my fault. I thought I could rely on a confirmation via phone in advance of the appointment. I am disappointed with this kind of treatment and gives me pause for any continued treatment with a clinic that can't do the simple things like keeping appointments straight.
