They sold me a newspaper subscription at the farmers market. It's been 2 months and I have received zero newspapers. I contacted them about this, twice, and nothing changed. Finally I asked for a refund. They refused. They knowingly sold a subscription they knew they would not deliver, and now tell me to use online subscription instead. Even tho what I purchased was a paper and online subscription, with the intent to read the papers. They are liars and thieves. They refuse to deliver the paper (I have a very easy residence to find and deliver) and refuse to issue a refund for the service they sold me and will not provide. Do not use these scumbags. Find an honest publication instead.

In December 2023, I set up a digital subscription to the Colorado Springs Gazette for a year's subscription with a special offer of $52. On AUGUST 30, 2023, my credit card was charged, without my knowledge or consent for $263.88. If I had a year's subscription, why did they charge me in August for a subscription that started in December? The Gazette refuses to refund any money for any unwanted subsciptions. They do NOT inform digitial subscribers by emial, phone or lettter that subscriptions are up for renewal and what the new rate will be. They bank on people checking their account on line to see when their susbscription runs out and what the new rate will be. POOR customer service. This is just a way for them to get your money without any recourse.

This subscriber was contacted by management and a solution was agreed upon. This customer has decided to continue with her subscription.

I prepaid for 1 year of service at a promotional rate and started getting full rate monthly recurring payments deducted from my account within 7 months (5 months early). I was planning to cancel before the 12 month promotional period. I was told that this was because I didn't opt out of receiving special editions which were an extra charge (and apparently worth 5 months of daily access). Apparently this is hidden in the terms of service which conveniently no one will direct you to look at. But there are also no refunds. I believe it's unethical for a business to require you to opt out of extra charges that they don't tell you about. From the Gazette's point of view, they can charge you for whatever they want and not refund you since you didn't realize that you need to ask them not to.

This account was adjusted by The Gazette to allow the customer to receive his full term.

Bait and switch. You sign up for a year at 1 price and 6 months later they start charging 4x that amount. Unethical and will never subscribe to this paper again. And if I could leave a negative 10 stars I would. By far the worst customer service ever !!!!

They keep skipping deliveries, and when I call they say it's their distributors fault. Then some guy tells me he's done everything except for threatening violence. Who says something like that to a customer. This whole building needs either training or to be entirely replaced. I'm not paying for something I never got.

I have been a customer for years and for months have had missed paper deliveries. Most recently no delivery the last 5 days including today. I keep getting told no carriers. Its just a very frustrating situation and I cannot even get a call from District Manager. **************** Manager cannot seem to resolve issue. Very poor customer service. So sad they are the only paper in Colorado Springs.

Yet another person who can't cancel their subscription. This time because the only way to cancel a subscription is to call their number, navigate their menu, and then reach an "automated callback service" where they never call back.

Every day for the past 15 years (lately past year) I would receive my newspaper on time or pretty close to delivery time as stated. Now for well over the last six months or so there is every reason that the paper service (I PAY SIX MONTHS IN ADVACNE) is either not delivered on time, or close to stated time. Then I have to search for stores by calling them to see they might have the paper in stock or if they received it at all, then go get it myself or the paper has been delivered as late as 5:30 pm. Many times, I have CALLED CUSTOMRER SERVICE (two times my complaint was taken seriously) and I get is the following, I get a credit towards my next billing date but that doesn't pay for the time I'm on the phone trying to track a store that *** or *** not have the paper, IT DOESN' PAY FOR THE *** TO GO GET THE ***** NOR DOES IT PAY FOR MY TIME!! I'm a born and raised native here in Colorado Springs (when I was a kid, I use to on my bicycle deliver for the Gazette) and I have seen the Gazette go downhill with delivery and customer care service. You can count on one thing when the people at the Gazette go out to the movies, fun time places, dinners and so on they pay for services and they expect excellent service or they will raise their voices, make a scene, and expect their money back if their needs aren't met. Now for tipping the delivery person (now LOL) well I use to give $50.00 to $75.00 along with the **** payment NOT ANY MORE THAT FOR SURE!! THE GAZETTE REALLY NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER AND LIVE UP TO THE SO-CALLED SERVICE THEY SAY THEY WILL PROVIDE INSTEAD OF BLOWING CUSTOEMR'S OFF AND STOP COVERING FOR DELEIVERY PEOPLE WHO WANT BIG TIPS BUT DON'T WANT TO WORK (YOU KNOW THE GIVE ME GERNERATION). Remember this Gazette wither it is on-line or home delivery THE CONSUMERS CAN MAKE OR BREAK THE BUSINESS YOU ARE IN!!
