Hello My name is *************************. My water heater went out in September 2022, I called my warranty company to send a plumber to replace my water heater, I had warranty company American Home Shield. They then that sent out Silver Eagle Plumbing, The owner who came to my house ***************************** said he was busy so he would have his guy fix the water heater which all I know his name is *********, when they I asked about my permit and why one was not pulled, he said he was working on it then he had a friend pull the permit which is Revolutionary Plumbing.. When I pulled the company up Silver Eagle Plumbing his license was suspended. When they came to my house, they said that the warranty company sent the wrong water heater and if I wanted it installed, they would put it in and charge a few hundred dollars more I was very uncomfortable they said that if I did not get that one, I would have to wait even longer. I was already waiting 2 weeks at that point, and they said it would take 2 hours. It ended up being over 20 hours of work. They failed inspection twice so I had another plumber call Revolutionary Plumbing he said he would ask if he would be willing to make it right since Silver Eagle could not pass inspection. So Revolutionary Plumbing came out and finished the work. While he was there, he told me that Silver Eagle Plumbing has a lot of water heaters stashed in his garage he said that ***** told him that American Home Shield keeps sending him them. My concern is that Silver Eagle Plumbing is charging me $850.00 when American Home Shield said my payment to Silver Eagle would be $295.00.I did send a check for the $295.00 but they have not cashed it yet, I was told if I do not pay, he can put a lean on my home, I am not ok with because he should have never been sent to my house since his license was suspended. Please let me know if you can help me in anyway.Thank you ************************* ************

    Business Response

    Date: 11/21/2022

AHS issued a dispatch to us after hours on Friday, 9/22. We responded and left a message for her to call back and on 9/6 we set an appointment to come evaluate the water heater. We determined that the water heater needed replaced and placed an authorization request and a purchase request with AHS on 9/9. On 9/9 AHS approved the water heater with a customer expense of $295. We were notified 9/14 the water heater was available for pick up and we went to the store to do so. Upon arrival we discovered that instead of a direct vent water heater, AHS had ordered the wrong water heater. We explained to her the situation and as this water heater would require extra labor as well as materials, that it would cost more. The total additional cost to us was $950. She agreed to this additional cost and we began work. This job took longer than a standard water heater swap and ****, one of our technicians, had to return the next day. She called and said upon talking to her neighbor she had changed her mind and we were willing to go through AHS and get the proper water heater. After explaining the difference she said to go forward with the installation of the power vent water heater. The job did take much longer than expected since her neighbor was standing over our tech's shoulder asking questions as he worked causing distraction. We also discovered the installation was tampered with when we returned after the failed inspection, causing us additional work. We completed the job and billed and have not received any form of payment thus far. ****************** has been provided with an itemized bill showing exactly where the extra expenses were incurred.
In the issue of a "garage full of water heaters." Silver Eagle does not keep any water heater stock on hand.
As for the question of the validity of *****'s license, I am attaching proof of both his and ****'s licensure.
*************** had 3 opportunities to have the atmospheric water installed and declined. The value of the install is $3800
