  I had a great experience with Modern-Day Roofing. Once my roof was inspected and it was determined there was enough hail damage to warrant an insurance claim to replace it, the process went super smooth. They took care of all the paperwork and correspondence with my homeowners insurance. Payments were received very quickly. Once we set a date for work to begin, they showed up bright and early and completed the roof within a day, not only that...I was able to get my whole house repainted as well. Altogether, it took two days to complete everything. They worked very efficiently and everything looked amazing from the roof, paint job, gutters, and everything else in between...it turned out great. Once they were done they cleaned up all the debris as if they were never here. We loved the way everything turned out, and we have received a lot of compliments from neighbors and friends.   The crew with modern day roofing was very professional handling my insurance claim. They took the time to explain the process of supplements which we didnt even know was possible. When it came time to do the work I was really surprised when they were in and out in one day on the roof and two days with the paint job. Didnt find even one nail.

  ********************* was very unprofessional & lied to us about industry standards. His company called us asking to give us an estimate. ***** came out twice; once with our insurance adjuster. He walked our **************** After a period of time, we asked him for our estimate. He insisted that we provide him with a copy of our insurance adjuster's evaluation/estimate report, which we did not do since it included more than the *************** He emailed us 2 proposals, Option 1 & Option 2. Both were hand-written on a single sheet of paper with a bunch of checkboxes. There was no listing of measurements, materials, quantities, or unit prices. There were only highlighted areas where we were to initial & sign, & the total price at the bottom of the page, along with a demand for deposit over 1/2 the total amount. Both were almost ineligible. We asked him to provide a more professional estimate (twice) that included the above ********** responded that providing detailed estimates costs them time and money and something they only do after a contract is signed. He said that estimates don't help anyone, especially the homeowner. He said they don't normally write estimates at all & bent his own rules by giving us the hand written ones. He said he would not take on the additional expense of a Xactimate report without a guarantee which is "pretty standard process". He told us he would **** his rules ONE MORE TIME for us and take us on as a customer, but he would need a signed contract before moving forward. Our response to him was that our final decision was to go with a roofer who has integrity, is honest, & concerned with more than just how much money they can make. We told him he could pick up his sign that was lying at the end of driveway. He never did.
