On Sunday, May 25, 2025, I went to Magnum Shooting Range to shoot. I rented two guns, one of which was their ******** about 630pm MT, my brother was shooting the rented AR-10. He properly loaded the bullets and placed the magazine safely inside the weapon. The weapon was on SAFETY. As soon as my brother lifted the rifle to his shoulder (while still pointing downrange) and WITHOUT his finger on the trigger, the gun suddenly fired all 12 bullets on automatic. He was barely able to hold on to the weapon and point it downrange, only with one hand able to securely hold the weapon. Luckily, he has a bigger physique and could handle the rapid recoil forces. The instructor came in to our stall (I believe it was stall 7). We explained to him what happened and he gave us another AR-10. That AR-10 jammed up every 8 bullets or so. Also, the party in the stall to our left (I believe stall 6) had THEIR AR-10/AR-15 jam up the same frequency. This should all have been captured on video since they have cameras there.I say all this to say Im deeply concerned for not only the quality of guns they are handing out, but the threat of people's lives that are at stake when one of their weapons fires all 12 bullets WHILE ON SAFETY and without the trigger being depressed. Someone not as strong as my brother couldve lost grip with the weapon and the weapon could've gone in any direction and shot people behind the firing line

I have tried reaching out to the customer via email and phone but have not received a reply. I have reviewed the video footage and need to talk with the customer about their actions. I have also reviewed the invoice and they did not spend $250.

I am rejecting this response because we have not yet established a conversation. I was out for several days due to sickness. Today, the responder, Todd, informed me he will be out until June 19th and will call me when I return.

I want to address something in Magnum's response. They claimed that $250 was not spent. I personally spent $212, see my credit card statement. My brother, Nathan Cline who was with me and was the one holding the faulty weapon, spent additional money on 2x slug boxes and another box of ammo for the AR-10 which in total, amounted to approximately $250.

The range instructor informed us that "sometimes when the barrel is hot, it misfires." But, there should not be a weapon that empties an entire magazine at a full auto pace, especially when the weapon is a semi-auto. If someone smaller and with less strength experienced that fault, the weapon couldve fell from the shooter's arms and shot erratically, causing a much more serious situation.

In the meantime, I await Magnum's call on June 19th

    Sincerely,

    Michael Vetri
