    I was turned over to collections by Scheels *************** without due process. I was contacted by email, however I would have been required to set up a username and password with someone who contacted me to access their system, and not someone that I had contacted. I had no way of knowing if this was a scam or not. I am a 73 year old disabled combat veteran and have had several attempts by people trying to scam me before. I had received some statements from them before but they had stopped sending statements. I finally found out that they had been switched to my street address and not to my post office box. There is a really old form of communication that they could have tried to use called the telephone to contact me but apparently this would have been below them or they were incapable of operating one. I am requesting a written apology from scheels and **** explaining in detail what went wrong here and what steps they are taking to not steamroll and walk all over people in the future.

    The credit card that the customer is referring to is issued and served through ******************* of ************ We do not have a "Scheels **************** that deals with such issues.  Our name is on the card but the bank handles everything once the customer has been issued the card   Any concerns that the customer is referring to should be dealt directly with the bank.  I don't have an actual contact for them but their information is below.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I do not believe a company that has a kiosk on the main floor of their business that solicits people to sign up for a credit card that has their company name on it can bury their head in the sand and make the statement not us. I would bet Scheels gets paid a fee for the use of this space or receives some monetary reimbursement which makes them  fully involved in the actions of Visa.
