I sent ******** a certified letter on 11/23/2024 about a car my minor daughter had purchased from them. The ****** she purchased from them was a lemon. They did not reply to my letter. I have attached the letter here. A total of nearly $15,000.00 was spent after repairs on a car that we later found out was purchased at auction for $3000.00. I feel like the car was miss represented because the vehicle had catastrophic engine failure less than 25 miles after purchase. They should have either bought the car back or replaced the engine at no additional cost. We ended up trading the car in somewhere else do to all the repeated problems. I feel we should be refunded a fair amount for the car. I gave H&H an opportunity to respond to me directly, but they did not do so.

H&H Tire is not willing to refund Mrs **** any amount of money. This vehicle was purchased by **** **** and his daughter. H&H worked with Mr **** directly. Mrs **** was misinformed about the amount that H&H Tire purchased the used 2012 ****** Impreza for. H&H Tire did not buy the vehicle for $3000. Mrs **** was not involved in the sale or repairs and maybe is unaware of the discounted price her ex-husband and daughter received on the repairs.

On March 16 2024, **** **** and his daughter purchased a used 2012 ****** Impreza with a ******* miles. In a short period of time the head gasket did fail. Used cars are unpredictable and sometimes parts fail. There was no warranty on the head gasket. When a head gasket fails it can lead to extensive engine damage which can cause the engine to fail. Mr **** was informed that there was a possibility that the engine could fail too and H&H Tire recommend engine replacement with the head gasket repair. He declined to replace the engine at that time because of the high cost. Theres no warranty for a head gasket, so H&H Tire gave Mr **** over a $1000 discount to help with the expense of the head gasket replacement. Shortly after, the engine did fail. When the engine failed, H&H Tire installed a new engine (which typically costs between $6000-$7000) for $950. H&H Tire did this, not because of legal obligation, but because we strive for customer satisfaction.

I am rejecting this response because: Im not misinformed . If I was misinformed you would have replied to the letter I sent you rather than ignoring me until I got the BBB involved. Thats fine. If that is how you want to do business. It just goes to show that some businesses will do anything to make a dollar including take advantage of people.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ****

This complaint is in regards to a 2016 **** Fiesta Base Edition. On 07/18/2022 I had officially signed all paperwork and a $1,500 payment down on the vehicle. Did do a test drive and on a highway going up to 50MPH it drove great. The night of 07/18/2022 I noticed the alignment was off. Brought the car back in to have it corrected. HnH corrected the problem. I am currently paying $24,000 for the vehicle. Making payments to Credit Acceptance. About a week or so later, noticed the transmission had some minor issues with acceleration. No check engine light. Thought itwasnt anything major as it did correct itself for at least a month. But as time went on, and a month went by, I noticed the vehicle had a weird cranking noise when it accelerated upon first turning on. About 10/2022 definitely noticed an issue with the transmission. It could not get above 70MPH without shifting. RPM gauge showed the engine was staying just below 3k RPM and would not shift. Upon talking and having a mechanic look at it recently, was told that the transmission was basically failing. HnH has confirmed they don't work on transmissions. They also said they do not inspect any transmissions when they buy a vehicle from the previous owner. I know of at least 1 other person who has their car at a ****** dealership she just got from HnH. Same issue. Her transmission was failing. HnH will not help. Their warranty company has proven extremely difficult to work with. Not to mention I was told by the same Mechanic ****** Plus will decline the repair if the fluid in the transmission is not theirs. The transmission is a major part of a working vehicle. It is also a safety concern. If it were to quit while I was driving it could result in an accident where me and the other driver can be injured or die.

******************************* bought a 2016 **** Fiesta from us on July 18, 2022. He then brought the vehicle in for an alignment which we took care of for him with no charge. On December 26th, 2022 ****************** brought his vehicle in and stated he thought there may be something wrong with the transmission. Upon inspecting the vehicle we were not able to duplicate the transmission shift problem. However, the vehicle did show a code for transmission control mode failure. Our service manager, *******************************, explained to ****************** that this was a common issue with 2011-2016 **** Fiestas and that he needed to take the vehicle to the **** dealership since this issue is a recall for this vehicle and would most likely be covered by an extended factory warranty.

The next time we heard from ****************** was when he made a phone call to our auto sales manager, ****** *********, in the beginning of February 2023. ******** asked ****** if we change the transmission fluid in the vehicle. ****** told him that we did not, asked him if he was still having issues, and offered to have ****************** bring the vehicle in so we could take a look for him and ******** declined.

Lastly, our final interaction with ****************** was on February 28th, 2023 when ****** called him after seeing a bad review posted on ****** an hour prior. ****** asked ******** why he was unhappy with our services and offered to have ****************** bring the vehicle down so we could try to help him and ****************** said he would bring the vehicle in on Saturday March 4th.

We plan on resolving this issue by keeping our appointment with ****************** on Saturday March 4th, helping him diagnose the issue, and help him figure out the best course of action wether its having the **** dealership use an extended factory warranty for a common issue on their vehicles or help ******** find the part he needs and discuss installing it for him.
