I was referred to the Transmission Clinic by ********************** in *************. Vashholtz didn't even ask me to come by, just "we refer all our trans. work to Transmission clinic". I told transmission clinic my symptoms, and that I thought my transmission was slipping. They said, " Well, the fluid is dark and there's some metal in the fluid so we recommend replacing the transmission". After waiting 3 weeks, my trans. was completed for $5600.3 days later I had the same symptoms. A friend of mine had a "code reader" and told me the code was for the "Crankshaft Position Sensor".Apparently Trans. Clinic did not check for any service codes. The sensor was $36 and I replaced it myself in 1 hour.I feel I was taken advantage of, greatly. Doesn't their shop have a code reader? Wouldn't it have made sense to check? So. I'm out $5600 and I'm very disappointed.I cannot recommend Transmission Clinic and I would say check your service codes first! Thanks for putting me in debt for no reason Transmission Clinic!!!

**** Your computer was absolutely scanned during the diagnosis process and again after your transmission was replaced. Neither time were there active, or history codes stored. The recommendation to replace your transmission was made because your transmission was hard shifting and there was metal found in the transmission pan/fluid, indicating that an internal transmission component was coming apart. You did not mention any problem when you returned to our shop for us to complete your 300-mile inspection after the transmission was replaced. We would have been happy to let you view the diagnostic report showing that your computer was scanned. Unfortunately, the failure of your crankshaft position sensor coincidentally occurred just after your transmission was replaced. Had there been a crankshaft position sensor code in your computer when we evaluated it, we would have recommended that you take the vehicle to a general repair facility to have that issue addressed as we do not perform engine repairs. We would have made the same recommendation regarding your transmission because of the metal in the fluid/pan and because the crankshaft position sensor failure is unrelated to the transmission problem. We are happy to discuss this with you further if you have any questions.

Everyone there was very helpful and had great service. Thought I had transmission problem after they checked it out while I waited I might add they said nothing wrong and didnt even charge me. Refreshing being allowed to wait and very grateful they didnt even charge me. As a elderly widow I have been told I could not wait at other businesses had to leave car for hours and have been overcharged at other business this was refreshing and I would highly recommend these honest people
