Was a guide for this group will tell you the owner does not care about your **** you are a pay check. Had clients last year shoot a decent bull but when I called for pick up on a hot day for their animal he refused until days later maggots got into the meat and they lost meat. Had another hit an animal no help was provided to recover the animal for the client. The list goes on and on on the horrible stories about how he talks about and treats hunters hes staff not much better high turnover because of it refuses to pay staff, less than minimum wage for others not reputable at all

I was disappointed in my experience with Colorado Outfitters LLC. I contracted the outfit for a guided wilderness **** and was successful in harvesting an animal. Even with my success, I would strongly recommend against using this outfitter. One of the first concerning issues was the guide's apparent desire to "present an opportunity" at all costs and then tell the hunters that he had done his job and we had "blown" the opportunity when the reality was that the conditions were just not right. It takes everything to make a perfect opportunity but demoralizing the hunters on day one is a bad start. The guide later told a hunter to take a questionable shot and assured him that even if the bull is not legal, the fine is "only $75". This made us lose trust in our guide. When my partner wounded an animal, the guide made little effort to help him track it and advised him to "shoot another animal". When I harvest an animal and was dressing the animal with the guide, the guide's knife slipped and stabbed me in the leg. This caused a significant amount of bleeding. He was not trained to handle the situation. I asked for his first aid kit which did not have adequate materials. I cut a meat bag and applied pressure to the wound myself before hiking back two hours to the camp, by myself. I was never offered a ride down from the camp for further medical attention. The incident was an accident and the guide was very apologetic, but the situation was dangerous and I would never put someone I cared about in that scenario. I saved up for two years to do this **** and would recommend someone spending this kind of money to look elsewhere.

I have hunted with Colorado Outfitters four times. 2 elk rifle, 1 elk archery, and one early season trophy mule deer ****. All different seasons, different locations and different guides. I had shot opportunities on every ****, was successful on 2, missed one shot and passed on the other. Each time the guides did an awesome job getting me in position to harvest an animal. The terrain is rugged and beautiful, camps clean and food good. I would recommend Colorado Outfitters LLC to anyone looking for a true wilderness adventure. I **** a tag for 1st rifle so I'll be back again this year
