    Purchase a set of Eico HF20s stereos for ******. They were defective and company took them back and after about a month, they returned them, in worse shape than before. Company claimed they were repaired, which they were NOT. This is deceptive business practice. One of the tubes was repaired with hot glue, which is a fire/shocking hazard., ******, owner of company told me to fix them myself offering no other remedy. Company had other products on display they would not sell me, as they apparently were trying to get rid of the defective items.

    Even though we service every vintage piece we bring in to make sure when it leaves our shop it's running as close to factory spec as possible, we don't replace every part. There are still things that can fail over time. We warranty the work we do, but we really can't warranty 60 year old parts that were installed by the factory. That said, when he had an issue, we brought them back in and basically replaced every part that we could (at our expense) and tested them thoroughly to make sure they were working properly.

    My service manager (***************************) has left voicemails and sent emails asking the customer to bring the amps by for us to have a look to see what's going on. He hasn't responded. We certainly did not, and would not ever, tell a customer to "fix it themselves". But, this is vintage equipment. It will need servicing from time to time. Just as you would expect to do if you bought a vintage car. 

    As to this comment "Company had other products on display they would not sell me, as they apparently were trying to get rid of the defective items." I'm at a loss here. We don't "Sell" anything to anyone. As a rule. We let our clients listen to anything they'd like and make their own decisions on what fits their ears and aesthetics. And we certainly would let anything leave our shop that we knew was "defective".

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The business offered no further remedy to the situation. Didn't not reach out to me directly. 

    I do not have time to keep returning to the store when initial repair failed and future repairs would result in same faults.

    Unit was returned to me  and did not appear to be repaired sufficiently originally Same fault(s).
