    I was not paid for work done on 4/26/2025 I would just love to receive payment. Gig smart will not even respond there is no customer service so basically its free labor. They kept payment and wont answer the phone.

    Hello,

    We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint. ******* ****** has been paid for the related shift as evidenced by her stripe account payment (evidence #2) and then subsequently her payout (i.e. transfer to her bank, evidence #1). 

    The GigSmart system permits both the business and the worker to dispute or update hours and that process can be instantaneous. However, both parties have time to accurately reflect the information. In this case ******* ********* shift hours were not confirmed until 5/2/25 and she has been appropriately and accurately compensated. 

    With the attached evidence we believe this complaint to be resolved and should not be shown as a negative or incorrectly perceived complaint that GigSmart acts inappropriately as a payment settlement entity.

    I had completed a task for gig smart and my payout was pending,then after 6 hrs there was no trace of me completely doing anything for the company NAPA in *********** ********

    *******************************, clocked in for Shift, but was marked as no-show. GigSmart reached out to have the Requester to approve their hours; they rejected stating he was not on sign-in sheet. Through the disputes process ****** was compensated $87.38 via dispute form. Payment id: ***************************

    From GigSmart's perspective this complaint has been successfully resolved and closed.

    GigSmart **** is used as a temporary employment service from time to time to fill maintenance jobs. The principal address for GigSmart **** is *********************************************. The person filling out this form has dealt with the following representatives of GigSmart: *********************, ***********************************, ********************************************************* GigSmart hired the same worker to work 5 shifts for approximately 2 hours per shift. This worker did not show up to complete his job duties for 3 of the shifts on 3/6/2024, 4/17/2024, and 4/24/2024. The credit card(s) recorded on the GigSmart computer application were charged on all 3 dates as follows:3/6/2024: $48.49 4/17/2024: $54.77 4/24/2024: $57.16 A charge in the amount of $42.00 also posted on our AMEX credit card on 4/29/2024. This charge was not authorized. I am seeking reimbursement for the $160.42 which was paid to GigSmart **** who hired the worker because no services were provided and $42.00 for the unauthorized credit card charge on 4/29/2024, totaling $202.42.

    GigSmart is a marketplace where businesses can post shifts and workers can apply to those shifts. Each business when they sign up for an account agree to the terms of use found (*****************************************).As part of those terms the business agrees that they are responsible for managing the time clock for the workers that they accept (support for acceptance of terms attached). The GigSmart Platform sends multiple notifications to both the business and the worker as the shifts progress. This includes when workers are on the way, when they arrive and they start working. The business also has the ability (and is solely responsible) for marking the worker as a no-show. This business was notified every step of the process and the requester approved the appropriate timesheets for each of these shifts on 3/6/24, 4/17/24 and 4/24/24. Supporting documentation attached. There is no shift for 4/29/24, there his however a shift for 5/2/24 that the business cancelled the shift within the cancellation window (found within terms under Cancellation Fees). This policy is in place to protect the workers who have set aside time in their day to work the scheduled shift. Support for the cancellation by the business is also attached. This business has decided that they should not be held to the terms that they acknowledged or the shifts that they cancelled. This business has used the GigSmart platform a dozen other times without incident and in acknowledgement of the existing Terms of Use. The system timestamps and proof of the businesses decisions and timesheet approvals show that the GigSmart Platform was operating correctly and within the agreed upon processes and policies.
