    I did not pay close enough attention to a website, VidirLighting.com, that I thought was selling legitimate products. I placed an order - and when I went back and looked once more at the site, I saw immediate red flags with sketchy spelling, grammar, etc. I felt like an idiot. I immediately contacted them through their webform asking to cancel my order and they replied with the following: "Hello dear customer. We have it in stock and will process the order quickly. You will definitely be satisfied." The website is from a Chinese name, and the transaction on PayPal, where i paid, is also Chinese. According to ****** Translate, the name of the company is not Vidir Lighting but "Zhongshan Zhuiguangying Lighting Co., Ltd.." It's a fake business that has taken my money. The item I ordered, for reference, was the Akari 55 cm lamp. I paid $269.28. Can you please help? Thank you so much.

    The seller has since admitted that the item is a replica, despite suggesting on their website it's an authentic item. Other red flags include:

    - The business is a ******* business parading as a U.S.-based one

    - The address listed on their website is a residential, home address, not the showroom they claim to have in ********. (They list "opening hours" on their website.)

    - Their website has many spelling and grammatical errors

    - The seller has admitted that the item being sent is a replica, while the website claims it's an authentic product

    - The product is being shipped from ***** (Akari lamps, which is what I ordered, are notoriously produced in ***** and sold via an ***************************** claims I am their first customer and to "trust them"

    - The person I have been communicating with via email is not even a business but an individual, *****************

    - *********** has inconsistently shared shipping information. The website says items are shipped via ********* and ***** with a processing time of **** business days on average. Instead, the seller has told me various estimates, with one saying it will take ***** days.

    - The seller did not allow me to cancel the order before it was shipped as described on the website "shipping policy" but rather insisted that I "will like it" and "be satisfied."

    This customer is very strange and does not allow any explanation. You paid with PayPal, which is protected, and has been refunded. However, you go around misleading customers to complain to **, without knowing your original intention. Based on the background risk assessment of this customer and its dangers, a risky order was identified.

    This seller is operating fraudulently, period. The website appears to sell high-quality, name brand lights. However, upon further inspection, they are all fake. The seller himself has admitted to as much in an email that I have attached to this claim. Here is additional, supporting information that this business is a front and instead they are a Chinese business selling knock-off products:

    - The address listed on their website (********************************************************************************************) is a residential address, not the showroom they claim to have.

    - Their shipping information on their website says processing time is 2-3 business days (Mon-Fri), plus generally 5-8 business days transit. I got a shipping confirmation from them (fake, see next bullet) which claimed a total of ***** days.

    - I received a shipping confirmation from Chronopost (see attached) on November 24. The tracking number in the email (MYIDB00002160YQ), when clicked, is not recognized by Chronopost as a legitimate number. 

    - When I tried to cancel the order, the seller insisted that I would like the item and be satisfied. He would not let me cancel. 

    - The email from the business via customer service does not come from a business but a private individual,  ****************** 

    - The seller is trying to pressure me to withdraw the complaint, see attached. 

    In addition you can see plenty of spelling and grammatical errors on the website - not at all professional, and a clear indication that it is a scam. The seller is saying that I am lying and slandering the business, but it is clear that they are in the wrong here. I filed this complaint so that no other individuals would be scammed.
