      I contacted the company through a service request form available on their website to obtain an estimate for garage door repairs. At no point during the online request process, nor anywhere on the companys website, was it disclosed that there would be a charge for the technician to come provide an estimate. Had this information been presented clearly and transparently, I would not have scheduled the appointment.The technician arrived and provided an estimate, only after which he informed me that there would be a charge for the visit. This practice of disclosing fees only after services have been rendered is misleading and *************** make matters worse, the technician wrote on the service receipt that I had confirmed the service fee over the phone which is entirely false. I did not receive a phone call disclosing the fee, nor did I agree to it verbally or in writing. I also did not sign the service receipt.Despite the lack of disclosure and false documentation, the company is now attempting to collect payment from me for this unauthorized charge.Desired Resolution: Waive the unauthorized service fee and confirm account is closed with no balance due.

      Our company does charge a standard service fee for technician visits, which covers the cost of travel, and diagnostics. While this fee is standard, we understand and acknowledge that it was not clearly stated.Given the circumstances, we will waive the fee and confirm that there is no balance due.

      Purchased a new home 7/22 and Ankmar installed the garage door. The garage door no longer goes down, Ankmar has been out and will charge $836.00 to replace a bar which is pulling on the top on the garage door causing separation of the windows from the door. I've had 3 garage door companies assess this and all agree it is an installation defect.

      We have contacted the customer and offered a solution of door repair, and the customer has agreed. It is in process but not completed yet. We are waiting for the home builder to perform their part, then we can repair the door.

      This was taken care of on 4/28/25 we contacted customer and the general contractor. Per agreed, The GC cutback the customers stem walls and we
      replaced her glass section at no charge and got door running.  When tech left on 4/28 customer was happy.

      Last spring (2022) we had a storm door installed on our home, by Ankmar Garage doors (****** location). Recently, we have been trying to have Ankmar come to our home to assess/service "sagging" of the storm door. This "sagging" makes the storm door bind on the threshold and makes it difficult to open and prevents locking for security. I have called and talked with the company operator on 5 occasions (9/29, 10/4, 10/7, 10/18 and 11/4) to arrange for a visit, contacted our sales representative twice and have had absolutely no response from anyone. I completed a 1 star review on the BBB website and still have had no response. We purchased this storm door based on positive company reviews and prior purchase of their garage door product.
