Bought a house from a builder *********** who has a local builder in our area ***. During the past 3 years the *** warranty team and leadership team have assured me that my house has a structural warranty for up to 10 Years. This assurance came after I expressed concerns with poor workmanship during and after construction. My trusses were left outside uncovered on the ground for 5 months resulting in ongoing roof repairs and Pest Infestation. My concrete blocks were a used to toss bottles, leftover food rather than using a dumpster during construction. I notified the builder COO who mentioned that building a house was like making sausage. He said not to worry it will turn out ok and if all fails I wave warranty. I noticed hairline cracks in multiple locations around the house the builder had it repaired with poor workmanship or we have a structural problem since they keep coming back. I had a home inspection done and they suggested a structural engineer would be needed to rule out structural damage to the remaining trusses that were exposed to the elements and wood eating pest. As for the ongoing cracks if they keep coming back it should be looked at by an expert for the same reason Saftey and integrity of the home. According to Structure they claim the builder already did repairs or I am out of warranty thus they cannot help me. The builder nor has Structure has sent out one single person to confirm this ongoing issue is not Structural. I welcome any inspection that will rule out any underlying disorder to mediate the situation with integrity and respect for people. I did not build the house or choose this company for warranty. I was told not to worry now my calls or emails are not returned or I get a generic excuse. The Builder blamed it on a hurricane that left no damage in our neighborhood have pictures. The builders poor quality control during the building process and taking shortcuts for repairs becomes a Safety issue for families. Repairs should be honored.

We initially filed a home warranty for foundation repair with ******************* in August 2023 at which they went out and evaluated the foundation and the structural repairs needed. These repairs included tile/flooring repair in the living room, and large drywall cracks throughout the home. These evaluations were performed in September, at which they said it would need to go through the warranty company StrucSure. StrucSure went out in October to perform foundation readings and initially said that the report showed it would not be covered under warranty. At which the property management company I work for and the homeowner decided to look at filing a complaint. StrucSure then came back a couple weeks later in November and said that they made a mistake and would cover the repairs and they would gather foundation estimates from companies. It is now January ****, and estimates have still not been confirmed for repairs to the foundation, and they still have not met to go over those estimates and confirm when a timeline of repairs would take place. This is a rental property and the home has been vacant now 5 months. We are unable to place a tenant in the property due to the amount of repairs needed for the property, and the homeowner is losing over $2,000 a month. They have now lost over $10,000, and StrucSure still has not confirmed a timeline for repairs. Myself and the homeowner have reached out ***** times via phone call and email to keep the process running. Without that, we feel as if StrucSure would continue dragging their heels and we would not be as far along as we are. We have now also reached out to other foundation companies to get estimates and hopefully expedite the process to help the owner and avoid falling into a deeper financial hole.

StrucSure first received the notice of claim on October 2nd, and quickly responded with an *********************** inspection 4 days later.   All structural claims are reviewed by a team to ensure consistency in claims handling, and due to questions raised during that review, additional analysis on the engineering report was done.   Ultimately through that review which only took a couple of weeks, the foundation was determined to be covered.  Foundations are not easy to repair, and we hired an engineer to develop a plan of repair and then we are seeking bids for the repair. These processes take time and must be done correctly by licensed professionals.   Due to the complexity and high cost of structural repairs, there are a limited number of available contractors and there is nothing we can do to speed the process up.   We continue to move the claim forward to repair and resolution, at a pace that we believe is impressive for the foundation warranty industry
