Moved into my apartment in February 2023 and I have been having issues since then with multiple things. We had a fire last month and the only reason things are getting handled is due to the fire department being around. Before then we had dog p*** piled along the sidewalks, people's basement windows broken in, a main door cracked, trash piled up and there is barely safety. There are no main door keys to any building and anybody can come in. We've had issues with homeless people living in the laundry rooms and messing it up. Evidently, this has been an ongoing issue since before I moved in. Property Manager said that the doors will be replaced and get new keys within 6-8 weeks of that and still nothing. All he had were excuses for the property when what I'm complaining about others have complained about. They send out no notices when it comes to water getting shut off, electrical issues, nor fires. Two shootings have happened while I've been living here with the latest one being a few nights ago. ****** fights in the hallway and loud neighbors. There is no control and I've tried to contact the company that owns the property and no call back..just as sorry. Lastly, I tried to pay rent last month and they wouldn't let me since I can't use two cards for the payment. I've never lived in an apartment complex where they don't do split payments. Ivy Crossing doesn't do split payments, but then turn around and get told to do a split payment between card and money order. ***** and May rent put together now, but now they have restricted me from paying online with my card and now facing eviction. I offered to give them $2,000 out of the $2,200 that they want and they won't take it. I told them I'll pay what I owe however want out of my lease asap and now saying I have to pay to break the lease. I've experienced retaliation and crime so why am I paying a lease break fee when I know I can get out of it due to those claims? Very slumlord company.

I am a resident of Ivy Crossing apartments; I have lived there for 4 years. I am also on Section 8 through SMHO housing authorities. I have been waiting the last 2 years to transfer into a 3-bedroom townhouse in my complex and was finally given the opportunity to move into one on 12/1/2022, but that was taken away from me on 12/1/2022 after the lease was already signed on 11/6/2022 and the deposit for the hold on the apartment was given in September of 2022, as well as the inspection from section 8 was done on 12/1/2022. After all that was done the day, I was supposed to get the keys to move I was told that I have a balance of $2135.34 that needed to be paid off before I moved, not telling me I only had a certain amount of time to pay it nothing, also not knowing where this balance even came from as they have change bank accounts and didn't mention it to me or my section 8 caseworker, so all the payment section 8 was sending they were sending to the old account so that left a balance on the account until everything got transferred over once everything was transferred over my balance started going down, but this amount of $2135.34 came out of nowhere and nobody knows where it came from. I ended up paying it off with the help of St ***************************** church on 12/12/2022, just for them to tell me that they had rented the townhouse to someone else after I already had the hold deposit of $250 paid and I didn't even get that back. Now they are ignoring my emails and won't talk to me when I go to the office to see what is going on with my transfer and why was the place rented out when I have already paid the balance, signed the lease and had the $250 hold fee down already. I need to talk to someone in charge of Ivy Crossing and the management in the office there or I will have to take it upon myself to contact a lawyer and take legal action.

In August I had to submit a $150 hold fee to receive any contact from a property under BLDG Management, **************, ***************************************************. I had 72 hours to decide if I wanted to move forward with renting #***, and after lack of response from the leasing team, as well as online reviews, I decided this would not be the ideal place to live. I let them know I would not be moving forward and requested a refund. The refund was granted, BUT they issued it to be sent to the address of the complex I had not moved into, despite my immediate email letting them know that was not my correct mailing address. I have since contacted them multiple times via email, phone and even gone to their office, but no one replies, or answers the phone and the floor to their suite is locked. I simply want my money back and want to bring attention to the fact they may be doing this to countless people and using the electronic image as their record of issuing refunds, while knowingly "sending" them to the complex the person never moved into. I don't believe the check was ever mailed because I did a forward address with **** and still never received anything. The check was issued 8/29/22 with 180 days before becoming void. I have attached all emails showing my dispute of the address on 8/19 and 8/23, before the check was generated to the incorrect address and the statement showing the refund would be issued.

I am currently renting from an apartment owned by BLDG management (paramount apartments) and they let it fall into disrepair, my AC broke 16 days ago and it has yet to be fixed and has been leaking water the whole time, a week ago someone came and they found the problem wasnt in my unit. Its still leaking so on the 14th I put in a maintenance request and said I would be home at 4:30 to move my dogs. they came in yesterday morning to put a dehumidifier in upon my request and when they were done the leasing manager tried to force her way into my apartment with no notice or permission while my two dogs and girlfriend were home, she then used force against my girlfriend (a tenant) to gain access to no avail and filed a complaint against us for not letting them fix a maintenance issue when the maintenance people had already left after inspecting and dealing with the problem. we have filed numerous complaints against her in the past and they all get diverted to her and stop at her. She refuses to give out a phone number for anyone above her so they will not deal with the issues and I do not feel safe living where I do. We called the police yesterday and their advice was to report them to you. this is not the first problem weve had with her but it is the worst, she has consistently ignored our requests for going about contact with us as well as access to our apartment and I do not feel comfortable living somewhere that she works.

It's been more than 2 weeks since my lease has started and I have yet to receive my mail keys or parking remote, in addition to other questions I have about the property. The management office refuses to answer my emails and when you call the number, they say an onsite team member will call you but they never do.I am unable to get in touch with anyone from management to fulfill what they promised in the lease. Not being able to get my mail is not acceptable and not being provided access to the parking garage after being promised access is really frustraing.
