I have a bike that had several issues including some body damage, wear and tear, and issues related sitting in a garage untouched for several years. Colorado Moto Service was very thorough in identifying and fixing every issue, always reaching out to me first to explain what my options were and to find out how I would like to proceed. After all the work was completed, the price was very reasonable - way less than I anticipated, and my bike looks and feels brand new. This company exudes professionalism, friendliness, and technical prowess. This will be my go-to shop going forward.

Waited 2 weeks to get my bike in. Talked with them several times about getting it looked at and an estimate before I left town so they could do fix it while I was gone. "Sure, no problem." They didn't. It took me over an additional week to get an estimate emailed to me while I was overseas. I couldn't finalize things with them until I got home. When I got home I started working with *******. He is solid. But it took another 3 weeks to get parts and then during the repair there was another part needed which took just under another two weeks. So in the end it took just over 2 months to get my bike back. Over promised; under delivered.

    *****,
Thank you for your review. While the repair was more time consuming than originally anticipated, We never made nor do we ever make any promises or guarantees on time frame as there are too many variables that are out of our control. Such as the time it takes for parts to arrive once ordered. You also failed to mention that when we agreed to work on your bike we were booked out several weeks in advance before we would be able to get the bike into the shop. However, We agreed to do you a favor and help you out in an attempt to work your bike into the schedule early. The bike was towed in for routine maintenance and a shifting issue. We sent you the initial estimate on the 26th of May, 4 days before you left town. We keep thorough notes and records of all communications and attempted communications with our customers. We reached out and left multiple voicemails to update you before you left town. After a thorough inspection/diagnostic of the bike it was determined that it needed 15+ hours of labor to address all of the issues. You mentioned yourself, once you were out of town there was no reliable form of communication and you stated that "you cannot call until I return" 2 weeks later. Which just further delayed the already time consuming process. It is disingenuous of you to leave a review like this when we made sacrifices to our workload schedule just to get you in the door in an attempt to meet the timeframe you requested.
We do apologize for any inconvenience the timing of the repairs might have caused and hope you are enjoying the great condition you received your motorcycle in.

If you think an oil change on a dirt bike should cost $175, then this is the place for you!I brought my wr400 to these guys with a cracked gas tank, hoping to get it replaced, along with an oil change. Apparently, ****** made my bike with two different tank/seat configurations. Colorado Moto Service ordered the wrong one, and put it on my bike without first verifying that they had the correct tank, to fit with my stock seat. As a result, a new seat was also required...which they made me pay for! Long story short, they robbed me of almost $1,000 to replace a tank....forced me to buy a new seat...and do a simple oil change...that if I knew they were going to charge me $175 for, I would have just done myself. They took NO RESPOINSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKE, and when I told them that they were lucky I didn't have them remove the tank they had put on and replace it with the correct one, they shrugged, teamed up on me, and said...here's your bill. If they had offered to pay for the new seat required because of THEIR ERROR...or even offered to split it with me, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. They had my bike for two-months, and when it was finally finished, they left me feeling ****** off, and cheated...as a result of their own incompetence! I will not be going back...and I WILL be making a point to tell everyone I know that rides motorcycles, about my first...and last encounter with Colorado Moto Service.

****************** brought us his 22-year-old ****** WR400 on August 8, 2022. We were asked to find a replacement fuel tank because his old tank was cracked. In our research we found a fuel tank to fit his motorcycle, but it was a larger capacity tank then the *** fuel tank was, and the *** fuel tank was no longer available. ****************** was notified and sent an estimate for $607.25 for parts and labor. ****************** paid the deposit on Aught 13th and authorized us to proceed with the tank. We notified ****************** on August 19th that the fuel tank arrived at our shop, and he requested that we perform an oil change as well. We quoted him $104.33 for an oil change, while performing the oil change, we discovered that the exhaust system needed to be removed to get to one bolt for the oil filter cover. When we got to the oil filter, we noticed that the filter required 3 more gaskets and exhaust gasket to be replaced. We cannot and will not reuse old gaskets, this added an additional $69.00 to the cost of the oil change and an additional $99.00 labor cost to remove and replace the exhaust system. We did not charge ****************** for the additional labor. When installing the new fuel tank we noticed a couple of differences, the fuel petcock was on the right-hand side of the tank because of it being a larger capacity, also the seat required was different. Earlier in the day ****************** called to check on the status of his bike, we told him that we were working on it so he told us that he was in town and was going to wait for us to call him. However, ****************** showed up at the shop without us calling him to tell him that the bike was completed and ready for pickup. As said, the new tank did require a different seat from what he had, this is where the confusion came in. To confirm the tank does fit his bike. We had another bike of the same year and model in the shop that the original seat fit the new tank. While in the office, ****************** told us that he had his original seat at home, we asked him to bring it in, then he told us that he had gotten rid of it. As for ordering the wrong fuel tank, I tried to show ****************** our parts catalog but he wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. We informed ****************** that it was the only tank that we were able to find per his application, we then offered to take the new tank off and put his old tank back on but he declined We told him we would try to find the correct seat, it took us a couple of weeks to locate a good used seat for $160.00 We contacted him to let him know we had located a seat and he said we could order it. The seat that was on Mr. ******** bike has one industries on it and ****** does not put that on their seats. We did not offer to buy his seat because the fuel tank we ordered is the correct tank, Mr. ******** Motorcycle is 22 years old and is very hard if not impossible to find *** parts for it. Unfortunately, aftermarket parts may not be exact. ****************** was informed at every step what the cost was. His original estimate was for $699.61 (including tax) and ended up being $932.53 (including tax), a difference of $233.92.We have all email communication with ****************** informing him of next steps and pricing for all parts and labor and he approved all of our work.
