      I contracted this company to help load moving boxes and furniture into our moving truck. By phone, ****** (the owner) quoted us $150 an hour for three workers and we told him that the job should not take more than two hours because there was not a lot of stuff to move. ****** did not send or offer to send a quote or contract in writing. On June 11, 2023, ****** arrived at our residence with his team. ****** ran our credit card explaining that he would put a $960 "hold" on our credit card, but that the total cost would be much less and that we would be refunded the difference between the $960 and the hourly rate. The work was completed in less than 90 minutes. We expected the $960 charge to be taken off of our credit card, but it never was. We called ****** for an explanation, and he stated (for the first time) that he used a "four hour minimum", otherwise he wouldn't make any money. So $960 was the charge regardless of if his team worked for five minutes or four hours. This policy was never communicated to us verbally or in writing before the work was completed. We were only told the work would cost $150. Any reasonable person would agree this is a deceptive business practice. Because we were not sent any documentation from the company, we cannot dispute the charge with our credit card company. I would like a partial refund. I would be willing to pay $225 for the work completed, which is what it should have costed given the original quote.
